California's been pretty active in the last couple days... Saturday we had a 5.6 earthquake centered in Anza (kind of near Palm Springs in Southern California). Today we had a 5.0 near Santa Rosa (Northern California) and a 7.0 nine miles off the coast of Cresent City (Northern California - also near Santa Rosa) where a Tsunami hit in the early 1900s I believe. A Tsunami warning was issued because the epicenter was so close to the coast, but the earthquake was a strike-slip eq which has one plate slide under the other which normally doesn't produce Tsunami's (unless there is a large undersea landslide) because it usually does not cause the ocean floor to rise or fall dramatically. The Tsunami warning has been cancelled. Just thought I would share

Epicenter was Yucaipa. Although smaller, this one hit us harder. But all is well
