Guest yod
Without WMD and Iraqi intransigence, legality does not exist. Regime change is no Justification. It is decidedly illegal and cannot be used to justify war in the International forum. U.S. Law does not even recognize it as just cause for war Saddam's breaking of the terms ending Gulf War I were all we needed for legal grounds. There were many legitimate reasons for going into Iraq. WMDs were only mentioned in relation to the urgency of going in. And when this is all over, we will see that Iraq was never the ultimate goal but instead a strategic base.

I believe we hold something very important in common, here on Worthy Boards

Besides that, each time someone posts something, either for or against the war, we get to see inside a window we don't usually look through. IMO, the truth is a very disorted image, when shown by mankind. When viewed through various sources, we can begin to see it become clear. Did Saddam need to be taken out? Yes. Has Bush lied? Yes, they all do. Did they have WMD's? Yes, we made it possible for him to have them. Would he have used them on us or other nations? Yes, I believe so. In fact, he already has, several times over. Will the war stop with Iraq? No, it goes way beyond Iraq. Do I like it? No. Will I go fight? Yes. It's a crazy world. Or, at least we have made it so. t. Try a chemical protective suit on in that heat. Our soldiers would not be able to endure that so we went when the weather was still cool enough to do so. Saddam would not come clean and we could not take him at his word. So we went when in the time window that permitted us. Waiting for UN inspectors would have ment going in in the heat of summer. Every major intel organization in the world said he(Saddam) did have WMD. Thats what Bush had to make his decision on. Bush did not lie. Hussain did. We have yet to find stockpiles but we know he had the ability to re-institute his WMD programs in short order. Bush did what he had to do based on the imformation he had and the knowledge of Hussain's history of lying. Its no more complicated than that. YES. This pretty much just "killed" your previous answers, "Most High." This is an unfounded, undocumented, unknowable statement, and yet you make it as if it were fact. I'm a conservative Christian and I am not the least bit happy that we are killing Muslims. I'm not happy that we're killing anyone, but you know what? If the death of one Muslim lunatic means tens of thousands of lives saved, then good! Let 'em die.
