That’s why he has one of the most abused statements in all of scripture, “examine yourselves , see whether ye be in the faith”. Christians today take that as we should doubt our salvation and not have assurance, when Paul was really saying “you don’t believe I am genuine? I know I am genuine, test your own selves, not me. “ 2Co 13:3 since you are demanding proof that Christ is speaking through me. He is not weak in dealing with you, but is powerful among you. 2Co 13:5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? 2Co 13:6 And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test. There is no way an unsaved man or woman could test themselves. Satan has them blind.
