There is an elegant simplicity to the Book of Revelation when it is read as written. God's purpose in allowing harlotry and tyranny to eventually bring down Babylon is perfect. They were warned what would happen and what their king would do to them. They reject God and everyone he sends to them. There's nothing more he can do.
