I came across some verses recently that forbid women from being in teaching roles or any roles above that of a man (1 Timothy 2:8-15). I was wondering if this means that I am not allowed to become a Minister, and if I am, why is this part of the bible able to be bypassed? If this part can be ignored, why follow it at all? I am struggling to find the answers within myself, and I appreciate any advise or insight. Thank you!

If it really meant not to speak then women can`t sing, prophesy, read scripture out loud, testify etc etc. All of these things Paul encourages women to do. It really amounts to some people trying to have control over women. regards, Marilyn.

The Bible tells us that a woman can not take a higher position in the Church such as a Pastor or minister. They can teach such as Sunday School or Bible study. 1 Timothy 2: 11-
