I don't know if he was christian or not but the the rastafarians were bent on following him and he asked them not to. Rastafarians have great music which is reggae. Kind of like how Mary is glorified in an idolatrous way even though Jesus made it very clear that she was no greater than anyone else who does the will of God. Saying "hail Mary" after confessing sins to a priest is antichrist. Only Christ can forgive sins. (on topic) Rastafarrian is no different than any other religion who got off track somehow.
