 He went to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body.
 Then he took the body down from the cross and wrapped it in a long sheet of linen cloth
and laid it in a new tomb that had been carved out of rock.
 This was done late on Friday afternoon, the day of preparation, as the Sabbath was about to begin.

Luke 23:52-54

15 minutes ago, Daily verse and quote said:

He went to Pilate and asked for Jesus’ body.

Wednesday afternoon (about 3 pm) on Nisan 14 He died and His body taken.
Before the High Sabbath of Unleavened Bread was to begin was the 'preparation day' and is well annotated in scripture.

On Saturday eve Yeshu arose, Nisan 17 which was the weekly Sabbath. Exactly 72 hours dead as He said repeatedly.

'Friday' is not mentioned.. this is just church tradition from RCC and other sources.

Thank you for your response.

If you observed, I am not quoting "tradition" -

but God's holy Word: Luke 23:52-54

Philippians 3:10

10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Romans 8:17

17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

May God give us the strength and the Grace to overcome ourselves by the Blood of Jesus.

Amen!!
