We're both single. Amazing how society has changed. As in being a single mother isn't as condemned as it once was. No matter what time passes, no matter what improvements are made, this past just doesn't wash away in the eyes of some. They will always be sex workers. They will never be trusted. Which is not only sad, but I believe that falls into the idea of Matthew 7:1-5, or of not judging others. We are all sinners and we all have pasts we regret. Just leave the past where it is. In particular to single moms, raising a kid alone can be rough. Having a Christian support system is good for both her and for her child(ren). Then, depending on the circumstances with the dad, she could even find someone to marry who could try to fill that fatherly role. And it's bet2ter if she can find a decent husband, no? I am a single parent, but owe no explanation why or how that happened, however, people make assumptions as they will. Be careful judging a single parent.
