How does the Bible alone solve this question? I really don't understand your question. The Ethiopian eunuch's questions was rhetorical. It was not so much a question but and declarative statement. He was telling Philipp that he needed someone to guide him to understanding. If you KEEP READING, the "question" is solved. Philipp climbs up in the chariot and has a study with him. "So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said, 'How can I, unless someone guides me?' And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him."
