There is not a single recorded factual account of Peter being crucified upside down, and yet you are willing to believe it. Why? Same reason why we believe everthing else outside of the bible. It's popular and the preacher told me so.

Trying to start a fight guys? Very mature. All that was said is that it's a story, that has somewhat of a Biblical basis, perhaps might be true, and is in character with Peter. Whether or not it's fact, who knows? I don't necessarilly believe it, but I don't not believe it either. Jesus did say that Peter would die a martyr and that someone would gird him wither he wouldest not. Sounds like crucifiction to me. Why try to make this non-issue more than it is? It is what it is. A nice story that could be true. The difference is, the RCC says that Mary DID assume into heaven, no questions about it. That has no Biblical basis whatsoever. Apples and oranges. Why? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It is recorded by some valid church historians. Though they may have been wrong in their doctrine, the early church historians do mention it. However, both of these have become stated as fact by Christians. Both are myths, and both should be completely disregarded in my opinion.
