We are not being unloving in speaking our peace about France not sticking with us, for their own agenda. Joking is one way of dealing with what we as a people are facing, if you can't deal with that one accord, then you are not being realistic. Our nation is at war, France stood with Saddam and refused to side with us. That offends the sensibilities of most of us. It seems your own agenda as a pacifist is clouding your vision in this case. Some people will be pacifists even in the face of a Hitler/mini hitler, but the majority of us won't thank the Lord, because its the non-pacifists that are out there fighting for your right to be a pacifist.

Interesting....I heard a sermon by John Hagee today regarding France's opposition to the war with Iraq.  In it he said, "Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without your accordion."

Interesting.....seems like even mainstream Christian preachers crack jokes about France.

I am very cautious about mainstream, Professional Christians as well...I think they can influence the multitudes dangerously.

My, my OneAccord, Youv'e got a mess here. There really is no defense for the French on this one. (no pun intended)

Check the records on this one closely. Many billions of dollars are at stake here for them. See, they (the french) have been backdooring the UN resolutions for years and set up huge contracts with Iraqi oil that go into effect if the sanctions get lifted. Oops, too late now.

Not only did they already pay, but now they get nothing in return. Bad gamble and they held the losing hand.

Did you really think that the French were holding the moral flag on this one? Nope, gonna have to burst your bubble on this.... it was just plain greed.

Love ya,

t.

PS And the jokes WERE funny!

With all that the French have said against the war and the badmouthing the United States, one wonders if when chemical weapons are found, they will admit that they were wrong all along.

Furthermore, I wonder if (heaven forbid) Saddam uses chemical or biological weapons in this war, will the French be willing to enter the war as they said they would.  Of course, I doubt they would be very welcome by our soldiers.

Is this serious or a joke?

'Cause a French Mickey D's would be owned by...a FRENCHMAN, and the people working there for a living would be...FRENCH, and if anyone got hurt, it would be a FRENCH employee or a FRENCH customer--

:hmmm:

Hard to see how that would hurt the good ole US of A in any way whatsoever-- :uhh:

French fries are terrible for us anyway. And I prefer California chardonnay! truffles? Gag! We will survive just fine without them...

And Americans will be vacationing there again in another few months--this too, shall pass.

Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme chose!

Just a joke. It wasn't French troops, but protesters that trashed Mickey-D's. Can anyone please explain to me why peace-protesters are so violent.  :hmmm:  :P  :c2:  :c:

Yeah, shalom and buenos dias to you too.
