Second Foundation of the NJ: Repentance.

•    “Wherefore, leaving the word of the beginning of the Christ, let us go on [to what belongs] to full growth, not laying again a *foundation* of repentance from dead works and faith in God,” (Hebrews 6.1).

The second foundation is the repentance from dead works. Repentance means turn down everyone and everything that abet us to sin. Who is still being carried away by the pleasures of the world is unable to reach the true repentance.

If we really are engrossed by the world, we need to seek out in Christ His purification. To this, we must keep walking in the light (1John 1.7), reason together with Him (Isaiah 1.18) and confessing our sins before Him and His Bride.

I know that this is difficult because we fear to the judged. Unfortunately, most of the people that aver to believe in Christ, instead of feeding themselves with the Tree of Life, until now they have eaten of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. It’s an absurd that they prefer eating of the death and going around condemning everyone that they can’t keep under their control (after all, this is the true origin of the grudge). Even more taking into account that Jesus ordain us not to judge anyone (Matthew 7.1).

Furthermore, when we don’t desire to own up our sin, it is because, in our innermost, we crave for continuing to practice this. The point is that only receive the ability of forgiving who is sincerely regretful and ache for being free of this obnoxious behavior.

•    “He who covers his sins shall not be blessed; but whoever confesses and *leaves* them shall have mercy.” (Proverbs 28.13).

So, do you look forward to having a relishable day? Eat of the Tree of the Life (Jesus Christ) and give of it unstintingly to everyone, starting with those who insist on being your enemies (Matthew 5.44,45; Psalms 23.5). After all, what they need inside them is the good that you pine for receiving from them (recall that each one only can give what they have in abundance - Matthew 12.34,35).
