  1. What does this mean?

Forgive me, brother, but I don't understand what you said. Can you clarify this, please? After all, I don't want to be banned for this cause.
  2. Kings wives

Dear brother Yowm, Grace and mercy and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. If I do this, beloved brother, besides creating redundant threads, I will be breaking the law of men and the law of the forum, namely, I will be plagiarizing. After all, since Pamelasv's threads are well done, it's not right for me to create an equal thread and keep the credits for myself. It is imperative that when Pamelasv returns, she realizes how esteemed she is. Because her threads are beautifully crafted, it's not fair that they are forgotten. On the contrary, it is most appropriate that they be brought into memory to awaken in us the desire to arrive at the full knowledge of the Truth. After all, none of them was totally answered.
  3. Kings wives

Dear brother Your Closest Friendnt, Grace and mercy and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. You have no idea, brother, how much this means to me at this very difficult time, precisely because I want to respond to Pamelasv's threads. I am glad that you are being built with my posts and I ask you to join me in prayer so that I am given the opportunity to remain in the forum blessing people with the teachings that Jesus has to minister in my heart. May Jesus continue to bless you with Your presence and knowledge.

Dear brother Yowm, Grace and mercy and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Please, see what I said on the post: https://www.worthychristianforums.com/topic/194913-what-does-this-mean/?do=findComment&comment=2532960
  5. What does this mean?

Dear brother Retrobyter, Grace and mercy and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Honestly, I can’t understand what the problem is in responding to older threads. Even though the brother who created the thread is no longer attending the forum, this does not mean that someday he cannot come back. After all, this does not mean that the brother died. And even if he died, the other more than 70,000 who are registered in this forum are very alive and can take some advantage. In addition, perhaps the brother who created the thread was discouraged from staying just because the brothers did not bother to seek harder to heal his doubt. In Pamelasv's particular case, if I have been struggling to answer all her questions, it is because I value her greatly (because of her willingness to know Jesus and His Word more accurately), and I sincerely hope someday she returns and sees that all her effort was not in vain. After all, in general, these are questions of a high spiritual level. Honestly, I hope she comes back to the forum and be enlightened by Jesus to bring us more inquiries that can lead us closer to Jesus and His plan for us. As for why I do not make my own threads: 1st - I have the hope that Pamelasv, some day, will go to read the answers and be built by them; 2nd - I am against "reinventing the wheel". After all, if there is already a thread with a certain topic, why create another? Ideally, there should be only one thread for each theme and each brother would add, exclusively on the basis of Holy Scripture, their knowledge until they all came to the unity of faith (Ephesians 4:11-14). In any case, I thank you for your concern. In order for there to be no risk of me being criminalized for responding to old threads, I'll check with George if there are any rules in ToS that prohibit this. After all, in the Holy Scripture, I do not see anything wrong with wanting to help the brethren have their doubts healed, even if such questions arose years ago. Furthermore, may Jesus raise up more and more brothers (beginning with me) who, like Pamelasv, awaken in us the desire to have a living encounter with the Truth and be possessed and guided by it (see Romans 8:14).
  6. Kings wives

Dear brother Yowm, Grace and mercy and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. · “Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.” (Titus 1.15) If there is one thing we need to seek from Jesus is that we have good eyes: · “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!” (Matthew 6.22,23). · “No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.” (Luke 11.33-36). When I made this comment about Pamelasv's thread, it was not my intention at any time to humiliate or mistreat her. On the contrary: if it has someone in this forum for whom I have a great esteem is for Pamelasv. Of all the brothers with whom I have had contact so far, she is the one who most studies the Sacred Scripture with sincerity, seriousness and depth. I am not saying that the other brothers do not do so, but Pamelasv really asks very intelligent questions that awaken in us the curiosity and desire to delve deeper into Jesus and His Word. That is precisely why I made this comment. After all, it is not appropriate for a sister, with such a brilliant mind (like Pamelasv), to waste her gifts and talents on things that go beyond the Holy Scripture. It is because I want Pamelasv to have more and more desire to know Jesus and grow in the knowledge of His Word, because I want her to be much more blessed than she already is, that I made this observation (which, unfortunately, was considered with criticism). To conclude, I made a point of answering her question, it is because, although the question itself has no relevance, I saw in this thread the possibility of making a comment that, at least in my humble opinion, is extremely useful. May Jesus help us to always use our gifts and talents for the edification of our neighbor. Even when there is evil in it, may Jesus not allow us to leave the evil in our hearts (see Romans 7:13-21) to go out and try to fight this individual. Instead, may Jesus enable us to let His goodness and mercy reach us and him (Psalms 23:6).
  7. Can your name be blotted out of the Lamb's Book of Life?

I'm sorry to desagree, but according to Holy Scripture, our name is written in the book of life before the foundation of the world. · “The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.” (Revelation 17.8). And as to the question “Can your name be blotted out of the Lamb's Book of Life?”, please read the post https://www.worthychristianforums.com/topic/5752-cant-be-erased-from-the-book-of-life/?do=findComment&comment=2531761
  8. Can't be Erased from the Book of Life?

Surely someone can have your name scratched from the Book of Life. Here are the passages that prove it. · “And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Oh, this people have sinned a great sin, and have made them gods of gold. Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin--; and if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book which thou hast written. And the LORD said unto Moses, whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.” (Exodus 32.31-33). · “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.” (Revelation 3.5). · “Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.” (Psalms 69.28). May Jesus make history in this world through our lives.
  9. The seven seals

Dear sisters Fraught and Isa, Grace and mercy and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. "And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals."(Rev 5.1). What you told me made me think, sister Fraught. I always thought the seals were open, but now, on second thought, I see that none of the seals have been opened. This will only happen when Daniel's 70th week is about to begin. John saw Jesus open the seven seals because he was transported to our days and experienced all that is to happen. But, what book is this? "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased." (Daniel 12.4). "And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end." (Daniel 12.9). In the hand of the Lord was the book of Daniel, which contains the life of every one who believes in Jesus. This book is of such importance that the four living creatures, the twenty-four elders, all the angels, as well as every creature that is in heaven, on earth, under the earth and at sea stopped what they were doing to praise Jesus when He picked up the book. What book was this, but the book of the Revelation, which contains the story of Jesus' follower, as well as the history of the last seven years of Israel in the present dispensation?
  10. The Book of Life

    Yes.
  11. Gates and keys

Beloved brethren, see this excerpt of the Sacred Scripture: · “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” (Matthew 16.18,19). What are the gates of the hell and the keys of the kingdom of heaven? At first, everything seems to indicate that key is to open the gates of the kingdom of heaven. However, Jesus associates key with binding. What is it to be connected and how?
  12. I agree with it. 3rd Error: – The author's concern is only with historical facts, which he admits that can there be mistakes. In addition, his only purpose was pleasing the people (in particular, those who are unemployed, with nothing to do): · “So ends the episode of Nicanor, and as, since then, the city has remained in the possession of the Hebrews, I shall bring my own work to an end here too. If it is well composed and to the point, that is just what I wanted. If it is worthless and mediocre, that is all I could manage. Just as it is injurious to drink wine by itself, or again water alone, whereas wine mixed with water is pleasant and produces a delightful sense of well-being, so skill in presenting the incidents is what delights the understanding of those who read the book. And her i close.” (2Maccabees 15.37-39) · “we have aimed at providing diversion for those who merely want something to read, a saving of labour for those who enjoy committing things to memory, and profit for each and all. For us who have undertaken the drudgery of this abridgement, it has been no easy task but a matter of sweat and midnight oil, comparable to the exacting task of someone organising a banquet, whose aim is to satisfy a variety of tastes. Nevertheless, for the sake of rendering a general service, we remain glad to endure this drudgery,” (2Maccabbees 2.25-27). This is absurd! Aside from the Holy Scripture being infallible, it was never written by anyone's will, much less to entertain the people: · “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” (1Peter 1.20,21). · “For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ. But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (Galatians 1.10-12). · “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” (2Timothy 3.16,17). While it is true that we should delight in the presence of the Eternal (Psalm 37:4) and in His word (Psalms 1.1,2), may Jesus help us never make Holy Scripture a mere entertainment. May our true pleasure be to please the Eternal by receiving His teachings and ministering to the lives of those He places near us.
  13. I agree with sister Jayne. In this case, no rich man would go to the hell. 2nd Error: – Offering and worshiping for the forgiveness of sins: · “after this he took a collection from them individually, amounting to nearly two thousand drachmas, and sent it to Jerusalem to have a sacrifice for sin offered, an action altogether fine and noble, prompted by his belief in the resurrection. For had he not expected the fallen to rise again, it would have been superfluous and foolish to pray for the dead, whereas if he had in view the splendid recompense reserved for those who make a pious end, the thought was holy and devout. Hence, he had this expiatory sacrifice offered for the dead, so that they might be released from their sin.” (2Maccabbees 12.43-45). Only the blood of Christ can redeem us from sin. · “But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.” (Ephesians 2.13). · “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Hebrews 9.14). · “But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:” (1Peter 1.19). 14. Dear sister Esther4: 14, Grace and mercy and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Here are the heresies of the book of 2 Maccabees: To begin with, 2 Maccabees is not the continuation of 1 Maccabees. It is a parallel account, full of legends and prodigies of Judas Maccabeus. Furthermore, the book presents: 1ST Error: - prayer for the dead: · “and gave themselves to prayer, begging that the sin committed might be completely forgiven. Next, the valiant Judas urged the soldiers to keep themselves free from all sin, having seen with their own eyes the effects of the sin of those who had fallen;” (2Maccabbees 12.42). This is contrary to what is shown in Luke 16:19-31. Notice how the rich man asked Abraham to help him. He asked him to send Lazarus to refresh his tongue. However, Abraham made it very clear that there was no possibility that anything could be done for him. You can be sure that if he had, he would have done. CONTINUE ON THE NEXT POST...
  15. Question regarding Luke 9:61-62

Sinner's prayer??? Where did you find the basis in Holy Scripture for this?
