It's wild that we were just discussing this on another thread. Russia plans to expand military exercises that will include central and southern Asian countries Thursday, September 01, 2005 Russia's unprecedented military exercises with China went so well according to the Russian defense minister, Sergei Ivanov, that they may expand them to include other countries in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). The SCO dominated by Moscow and Beijing also includes nations like India, Pakistan and Iran who this last year were given observer status and added to the original six nations forming an organization that has become a prime vehicle for Russia and China to challenge U.S. influence in the region. The eight day Russian-Chinese exercises involved 10,000 troops on Russia's pacific coast and China's Shandong peninsula, the first ever military exercises for these one-time Cold War rivals . Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News Russia's announcement of expanded military exercises with additional Asian partners other than China is like reading a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days. The recent Russian-Chinese military exercises, the first ever for these two major world powers, did get the attention of world leaders. In an effort to challenge the military dominance of the United States in Asia, Moscow and Beijing want to expand these joint military exercises to include both permanent and observer status members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization which is an unprecedented move in the region. World leaders must pay close attention to these plans by Moscow and Beijing in a region that is almost 50% of the population of the world and has major impact on the events of the world. A student of Bible prophecy immediately recognizes the fact that the permanent and observer status members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization are like a who's who of nations mentioned in Bible prophecy, key players in the End Times. Russia is Magog, Ezekiel 38:2, China, the Kings of the East, Revelation 16:12, which also includes India, Pakistan and Iran, Ezekiel 38:5 as the Biblical Persia, and the other SCO members like Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan are all part of the Magog of Ezekiel 38:2 along with Russia. These nations mentioned in Bible prophecy will align themselves in the last days to go against the Lord and the Jewish state of Israel, Daniel 11 and Ezekiel 38.
