Yes, but you don't prevent that by changing laws and holding protests. You do that by bringing the Gospel to the people and group of people. I agree that the other things you mentioned are big problems. I wonder if the Church fought harder against such things being normalized, maybe they wouldn't be so pervasive? But then again, how can the Church fight against the very sins she's infected with? That's the point, we didn't (and don't) fight against these things. We slide them under the rug and walk on our way. Until the people are changed, laws only delay the inevitable. Sure, if your focus is evangelism, you might prefer not to view any sins as worse than another. But if your focus is preserving the nation, you might have reactions to things that are known to destroy nations. Biblically, which is the proper focus? Don't let your patriotism infect your Christianity. In your study of history, did you ever study the parallels between societal decay and the moral decline of that society? That's a myth actually. For one, all societies, those that have existed for thousands of years (like the English) and those that imploaded (like the Romans) all have immoralities. If you want to draw parallels between immoral societies and their downfall, be my guest. Just keep in mind that Rome (the western empire) lost all control and went into a complete collapse once it accepted Christianity and attempted to outlaw immorality. Likewise, the eastern empire kept its vices and practiced a psuedo Christianity and lasted until the 1400's. Your point? Not that homosexuality is the only sin that is worthy of judgment - but if each established sin is, proverbially, a nail in the coffin - homosexuality acceptance in society tends to be the last, or near the last. No it's not. That's another myth. Greek and Roman culture accepted it from the beginning, before it allowed other immoral vices. Such as in Rome it was okay to have sex with multiple men, the line was drawn when it was with eight year old boys. However, from the beginning, even in the Republic, senators would have male and female lovers. Yet, even with this, the society lasted for almost a thousand years (almost two thousand if you count the Byzantine Empire as the late Eastern Empire). What will you do when calling homosexuality a sin will be considered a crime under "Tolerance Laws"? Continue calling it a sin. That's a no duh question. What do Christians in China do when it's illegal to preach their religion? I mean come on now. Like we have it so hard over here, and if we did, SO WHAT? We are to count it joy and a blessing...yet we do all we can to avoid persecution.

Do you suppose its something in the water? No, it is simply just people a) wanting to get in the headlines b) Fooling around with genes that they don't know how to use properly c) Just wanting to raise havoc.
