I think Matthew might be Jesus' genealogy from Joseph's side and Luke might be Jesus' genealogy from Mary's side. How could there be a difference in the number of generations between David and Jesus? May I suggest that you get either a good comentry on the books of the bible or that you start studing theology. That or you start using sites like Answers in Genesis. Yes a yec site, but they like all good Christians believe the bible is accurate and authoritive, they have many articles defending this, so use there search engine.
