It's believable.  Pope Francis is quite a progressive man.  He's been known to say that even atheists will go to heaven as long as they "obey their conscience" - he says you don't have to believe in God.

I share stories like this to Catholics and ask them "What more do you need to realize that they do NOT represent Christ here on Earth"?  It's almost like a cult.

While I believe that there are many individual Catholic people who are genuinely saved, the Catholic institution as a whole practices far too many unBiblical practices.

And with all that being said, there are many a Protestant out there who consider themselves born again who are not.

My pastor at tonight's prayer meeting gave a devotion from 1 Timothy 1:15-16.  Paul says to Timothy, the young  man and new preacher.....

"Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life."

My pastor said tonight that there are far too many people world-wide who have an interest in Christianity and like Christian values and ideals, but who have NEVER been born again and do not follow Christ Jesus.

Both Catholic and Protestant memberships have people who hold to a creed and don't know Christ.

Pope Francis needs our prayers.

Pope Francis should be excommunicated for that.

I know a lot of catholic anti-abortion activist groups who show up at abortion clinics to protest here in my city and around the nation.  I find it strange to me that their head leader the Pope undermines them and supports such abominable practices such as abortion.   I know the majority of practicing Catholics are against abortion, I am sure this will change with the Pope's support of such clear evil.

Yes.  A few of the ones that I know have left.

Many Catholics are in bondage to the Catholic dogma.  They are taught to reject the authority of the RCC and pope is an unpardonable sin and is the same as rejecting Christ himself.  This keeps many who are struggling in their faith in RCC from leaving.

As a former Catholic I am shocked at the level of cultism among their flock.
