Any more contribs., ppl?

I see there is also a live medical marijuana discussion on another thread at the moment.

Some ppl might say that smoking cigarettes with strong levels of nicotine and smoking a mild level of marijuana are not hugely different, in principle. (I know there are distinctions also.)

This is not something I can advise on with any sufficient experience, but I do know that we all struggle with something, and that God has broken chains off of me I knew He only could. Not only could He, He was also willing to do it.

Many times I think God looks at our obedience to take the first step, because that means we are putting our trust in Him.

He is able and willing.

We are His temple, made for His good pleasure. Let's do this!

Stay blessed all, shalom :)

Thanks for your comment, @SpiritSong. Sounds like you either didn't quit yet or you never smoked.

@Raised2newlife Hoping the quitting is still going well.

(I don't believe in the guilt-manipulation that goes on, though.)

Hi @Tristen .

A while ago you said:

"If your brain tells you that you are addicted to smoking;

'I thank you Father – that I have the spiritual fruit of self-control; and that I am free indeed' (Galatians 5:22-23, John 8:36). Say this - even as you exhale the smoke. Bring the power of God's Word right into the midst of your circumstance."

Do you think all instances of inhaling/exhaling indicate the presence of addiction?
