I believe the church is the prodigal son and Israel is the older brother. In Abraham and his seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. I don't think we have taken Israel's place, but that rather the Lord desires us to be one together in him. It is a mystery indeed, a beautiful one. God has not utterly rejected Israel, He always preserves a remnant for Himself. I have always wondered about the lost tribes, what do you think happened to them? We can discuss in another thread if answering that question would derail this one, but that is another mystery for sure. Be blessed 🙂

I always thought we as the bride (who has neither spot not wrinkle) get caught up to attend the marriage supper of the Lamb. Do not the great white throne judgement happen after the anti-christ has been defeated? Either way, I will also be excited for the marriage supper, won't you? 👍

While we don't know the day or hour, I am looking forward to being taken up to be with the Lord Jesus. It will be literally awesome! With lots of Revelation prophecy already come to pass, I think it's just a matter of time.

As we know the end is very near, what are your feelings about the rapture? Are you excited? Are you afraid? Do you feel prepared? I used to be afraid because of the scary time surrounding the event, and also, I was afraid of God, that I wasn't worthy of being with Him. But praise God for his grace! It's not by works but by faith that we are His! Thoughts?

Aren't we supposed to be new creations?

Apologies for such a delay in reply. I can follow what you're saying, your logic is sound to me but I think I need to do further study for myself (as the Bereans did lol).

This post makes me think that it's really our choice what we make our default. If we are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling and endure to the end to be saved, we must make the Spirit our default. New wineskins!

Actually I thought I was addressing what was relevant to the OP with regards to new wine and new wineskins (it's in the response I posted but you don't have to reread if you don't want) What is your perspective on the topic? These are things I have been thinking about of late, as I press on in faith 👍

What do you make of these verses? John 10:28-30 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one.”

Are these the same to whom the Lord says: "I never knew you." ?

As a newbie I am reluctant to post in the eschatology section, but: Will Jesus's coming be the start of His millennial reign on earth? If so, will He be reigning on this present earth or on the new earth He will make? All thoughts welcome, Many thanks 👍
