  1. All I know is the mention of a star on Jewish coinage, comes from scripture, as prophetic of Messiah Numb 24:17. The star the wise men seen, looking for him born king of the Jew's. Simeon Bar Kochba: The leader of this revolt was Simeon bar Kosiba. His real name was Simeon ben Kosiba. The sobriquet Bar Kochba, meaning “Son of a Star,” was given to him based on the verse from Numbers 24:17: “A star shall go forth from Jacob.” This messianic appellation reflected the hope that he would lead the Jews to victory against Roman oppression12.
  2. I agree. There were several tyrants in the city harming, killing, starving the peoples. They also minted coins.
  3. I believe 70 A.D. As well. You mention the plural. People often do not think about how many were killed in the holy city by the warring factions there. It was awful suffering. And they took over the temple, it was soaked with blood of those these leaders killed JEW'S. But they also minted coins, boasting. Josephus also talks about the miraraculous events which supposedly appeared in the heavens... Simon ben Giora He startled the Roman soldiers as he arose out of the rubble of the temple, dressed as a Judean king. He had attempted to dig himself out from the underground tunnels of the temple.... Then later, the last revolt of Bar Kachba. His coins also having images and inscriptions. He showed himself as a star, sitting above the temple. you can see the ark of the covenant inside. Nu 24:17 I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth. Mt 2:2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. The temple does not need to be rebuilt to see that, his image sitting over the temple and ark of the covenant, inscribed with "for the redemption of Zion. He was declared the Christ by some prominent Rabbis. A king is an annointed one
  4. Amen Willa. I believe the Lord's supper is our passover seder, and more. Keeping a Jewish seder is ok I guess, but without the Lord's supper it is just Rabbinic traditions. IMO.
  5. I did not say Circumcision saved them. They are keeping that covenant by faith. Why else would they suffer as they have and face danger if Faith were not the reason? Furthermore...... It is a COVENANT that God swore an OATH concerning. He will not turn from it. It concerns their EARTHLY INHERITANCE. When God swears an oath it is immutable There are two portions of inheritance, two covenants. The firsborn Are they which have a double portion from Abraham. These are Jew's of the new covenant ELECT the rest were PARTLY blinded Heb 11:28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them. Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, Israel is back in the land of it's earthly portion. For some in the end they will never enter into the heavenly, just like unbelieving Gentiles. As long as this earth and this world continues, so too will God be faithful to his oath.
  6. You please stop. I said you do not have to fear for your life. It is not your head on the line. Every Israeli, fears for themselves as well as their own families. Their own children included. You, do not have put your life, nor the lives of your children. They do. Not to mention, all are to serve in the military, male and female.
  7. Temple Judaism/Levitical law of Sinai is a covenant 430 years after the covenant made with Abraham. Which promises cannot be disannulled. Neither do the Levitical sacrifices take away sin and never have. It is the Abrahamic covenant of circumcision which brought them out of Egypt, brought them into the Land, and keeps Israel. Lev 26:39 And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them. John's baptism??????????????? The way.... They went out to John confessing their sins.... 40 If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me; 41 And that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: 42 Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land. 43 The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them: and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they despised my judgments, and because their soul abhorred my statutes. 44 And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God. 45 But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD. Their Sin does not Abolish the promises, nor the lack of faith on the part of some nullify Gods faithfulness. God swore an oath and will not turn back from it. He is faithful despite their unfaithfulness all the same. Gen 22:15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, 16 And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: 17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; 18 And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice. This is not revoked.....They have been partly blinded by God To Israel an everlasting covenant, remember always 1 chron 16:15 Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations; 16 Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac; 17 And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant, 18 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance; Again in David Ps 105: 8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. 9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; 10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant: 11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance: Consider the Promises to Abraham in the covenant in circumcision.... The covenant which also Gave to us Christ Jesus, and the new covenant in his blood. Gentiles are included in that covenant promise. The Levitical covenant cannot disannull it, nor the law, nor the sacrifices which are by the law take away sin. That covenant still has force for them and not revoked....Even in their blindness to Christ Jesus. Earthly, worldly righteousness before their fellow man...... De 6:25 And it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us. It is not for righteousness before their God.... De 9:4 Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, my righteousness, the LORD hath brought me in to possess this land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee. De 9:5 Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. De 9:6 Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good land to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people.
  8. Slibhin, Nice to meet you. You need not inform me you are Jewish, this has been known since you arrived. At least I have been aware of that for quite some time. That you LIVE there from time to time does not make you having to live under fear, nor have your life on the line PERIOD. It is not a change of anything on my part. So you are a Jew? So what.
  9. Yes, I would think we would all hope that they are accurate. A few things I considered was Israel was imbedded with media, (not always but mostly) Hamas was not. As well as historical tactics of Palestinians. The incident occurred because Israeli's were fired upon, and they responded to it. They found a rocket launcher there. I think, how could they have not known that rocket launcher was not there? They use schools, playgrounds, hospitals, why not a Church? I know I have asked concerning this before, if anyone here remembered the year this happened. I seen it myself back in the 70's (i think), I was just barely out of the house or still living at my parents home at the time The news was showing them carrying the dead on stretchers, Women mourning terribly over them as they proceeded. Right there on camera, one of the men carrying the dead stumbled and dropped the stretcher. Low and behold the dead reached out his hand to break the fall. It was caught live on the news. He was busted for the fake scene, nothing to do but get up and walk off.
  10. None of us has to live there and put our lives on the line. What we have to say, citizenship or not, does not affect our security. It carries no importance in the end.
  11. It was one of those times, and there were a few, the initial report was inaccurate, and understood to be inaccurate after subsequent facts came out. Like them bombing the hospital. We now know The hospital was not bombed, but the parking lot was hit. We also found out, it was a Hamas rocket misfire, not Israel. And now there have been reports of the massive tunnel system under the hospital also extended under the parking. Which made that area more susceptible to any such event.
  12. The odd, or suspicious thing is there are Christians in Gaza. What we see however is Christians outside of Gaza complain about Israel hitting Christian Churches, where Gazans are taking refuge. Even when corridors were created, for Gazans to leave, Christians outside Gaza complained about the threat to these Christians being in harms way, despite military equipment being found there. They seem to be no different than any other Palesinian, nothing is spoken of to leave or their fellow Christians outside of Gaza taking these Christian brothers in. It is like the Christians there are like minded with all Palestinians. In Gaza or not, Christian or not, the same attitude about the land, It has turned out the reports were exaggerated or false, but Christians there seem to have the very same attitude as the rest. Desiring to instead to drum up sympathy to support Hanas/ Israel.
  13. Are you an Israeli, and live there? If not, then you are no different than anyone else, it isn't you that has to live with the threat.
