I believe the church is the prodigal son and Israel is the older brother. In Abraham and his seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. I don't think we have taken Israel's place, but that rather the Lord desires us to be one together in him. It is a mystery indeed, a beautiful one. God has not utterly rejected Israel, He always preserves a remnant for Himself. I have always wondered about the lost tribes, what do you think happened to them? We can discuss in another thread if answering that question would derail this one, but that is another mystery for sure. Be blessed 🙂

I always thought we as the bride (who has neither spot not wrinkle) get caught up to attend the marriage supper of the Lamb. Do not the great white throne judgement happen after the anti-christ has been defeated? Either way, I will also be excited for the marriage supper, won't you? 👍

While we don't know the day or hour, I am looking forward to being taken up to be with the Lord Jesus. It will be literally awesome! With lots of Revelation prophecy already come to pass, I think it's just a matter of time.

As we know the end is very near, what are your feelings about the rapture? Are you excited? Are you afraid? Do you feel prepared? I used to be afraid because of the scary time surrounding the event, and also, I was afraid of God, that I wasn't worthy of being with Him. But praise God for his grace! It's not by works but by faith that we are His! Thoughts?

This post makes me think that it's really our choice what we make our default. If we are to work out our salvation with fear and trembling and endure to the end to be saved, we must make the Spirit our default. New wineskins!

Actually I thought I was addressing what was relevant to the OP with regards to new wine and new wineskins (it's in the response I posted but you don't have to reread if you don't want) What is your perspective on the topic? What do you make of these verses? John 10:28-30 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. 30 I and My Father are one.”

As a newbie I am reluctant to post in the eschatology section, but: Will Jesus's coming be the start of His millennial reign on earth? If so, will He be reigning on this present earth or on the new earth He will make? All thoughts welcome, Many thanks 👍

Are those believers you outline even genuine believers? If so, should the parameters apply to them?

Shouldn't the Spirit be our default if we are indeed now new wine skins for the new wine? Makes sense to me. The flesh is a definite choice, but once we know the truth, we are set free, right?

In UK, during lockdown especially, everyone had a good opportunity to see how the churches responded to the new laws the government wanted to put in place. I was not impressed with the prominent leaders in the church of England and their advice. Now they obviously did not represent every denomination in the UK, but their words had some semblance of a unifying stance in the government's eyes. I believe the great apostasy is upon us. Feel free to disagree, but this isn't really about 'other' Christians, but enduring to to the end. I don't wish to make speculations either, but that doesn't stop me or others from making valid observations. We are to watch and pray. God bless you, brother.

Woe indeed! We can no longer afford to ignore being wrong, or be offended by correction. We need to love the truth as our Lord does.

You're right, there is something about holding communion that reveals Christ to us. Any meal shared in His Name, not just a wafer circle and some juice. When we really celebrate Him with a FEAST, and not just pray to him while fasting, I believe it's a very special gesture unto the Lord. Let our eyes be opened! Stay blessed, Shalom.

I love this Psalm! This is our God, and we will spend eternity by His side! What a wonderful promise. You know people will casually say something or someone is the best? Or awesome? Well, it's not true at all. The Lord Jesus is THE BEST. He alone is AWESOME. Everything we could ever want or need, He is the source of. He can do and give exceedingly and abundantly more than we could ever DARE ask or think. Flesh and blood will not inherit His kingdom. We need to flee from evil and love righteousness, just as verse 10 states. We are all good in Him. Let Him be our satisfaction. Amen.

Defeat the physical enemies of Israel and establish the country as his earthly kingdom as it is, though reclaimed from Palestinian rule completely. I have always wondered if the Lord will reunite Israel and Jordan once again. It's a good idea to keep our eyes on Israel in these times.

It seems that the general conclusion we are all coming to is that the apostasy and offense happens to those who claim to be part of the body of Christ but aren't grounded enough in Christ to be part of His body. It's interesting to note that is Jesus after this false prophets will rise up and deceive many. It seems that after this, because of the false prophets that lawlessness (towards God, not man's legal systems) will abound, and the love of many believers will grow cold. To be honest, I think this has already started to happen. We need to return to our first love. Just because believers can grow cold doesn't mean they can't be revived. I believe revival is coming, as the gospel will first be preached to the ends of the earth, and then the end will come.
