As to knowledge vs. truth.... "Knowledge puffs people up (makes them proud), but love builds people up". 1 Co 8:1 The truth Christ speaks of is by experiencing the Holy Spirit. John 16:13 However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. To Abide is to Experience Liberty! John 8: 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. We build each other up with words of truth Ephesians 4:15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ. Words of Truth Bear Much Fruit James 1:18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures. The Spirit of Truth leads us towards a sincere love for the brethren 1 Peter 1:22 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart. The Truth leads us into a greater Joy 3 John 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. The Spirit of Truth is our Unleavened Bread 1 Corinthians 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth. We are commended by the manifestation of Truth in our Lives 2 Corinthians 4:2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. The Truth keeps us in the Blessed Hope of Heaven Colossians 1: 5 For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; 6 Which has come unto you, as it is in all the world; and brings forth fruit, as it does also in you, since the day you heard of it, and knew the grace of God in truth.
