Loved the babbling brook, too. I love any water features....even man-made fountains since I live in the city. Do you ever see any snakes on your walk? In the suburbs of Los Angeles, there can be Rattlesnakes which are venomous.

We do see plenty of lizards.

When I read South Africa on your profile, I sort of expecting wild animals like lions, zebras, etc. but I see that modern suburbs have come to Africa too . . . Grace and Peace . . . The kind of animals you're thinking of are around here. In the mountains around us, for example, you could find leopards and baboons. For larger animals you'd need to go further north east mostly. Western Cape and especially my town is very much westernised. 2
