There are many things which are interesting to think and speculate on, and there is much merit in doing so, but  are not necessary to understand.

What happens at the 2ND ADVENT,

for those who 'have endured to the end'?  They are still alive in their natural bodies.  They didn't take the mark of the beast because GOD SHORTENED the time so they wouldn't be deceived.  Talk about the power of Satan to deceive...

NOW is when 'the mystery' of what happens to them is explained.
51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

AT THE LAST TRUMP,  A SPECIFIC moment in time.  When I read this I think 'DANIELIN THE FURNACE' AND GODS WALL OF PROTECTION ALL AROUND THEM.  Those who will be 'alive and remaining are those who 'lamps are still lit'.  Still virgins NOT having worshipped the beast

52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible,

THE DEAD.  IS IT WRITTEN 'DEAD BODIES' OR THE DEAD?

3498. nekros ►
Strong's Concordance
nekros: dead
Original Word: νεκρός, ά, όν
Part of Speech: Adjective
Transliteration: nekros
Phonetic Spelling: (nek-ros')
Definition: dead
Usage: (a) adj: dead, lifeless, subject to death, mortal, (b) noun: a dead body, a corpse.
HELPS Word-studies
3498 nekrós (an adjective, derived from nekys, "a corpse, a dead body") – dead; literally, "what lacks life"; dead; (figuratively) not able to respond to impulses, or perform functions ("unable, ineffective, dead, powerless," L & N, 1, 74.28); unresponsive to life-giving influences (opportunities); inoperative to the things of God.
3498 /nekrós ("corpse-like") is used as a noun in certain contexts ("the dead"), especially when accompanied by the Greek definite article. The phrase, ek nekron ("from the dead"), lacks the Greek article to give the sense "from what is of death."

I ask,

IS THERE ANYTHING IN THE DESCRIPTION ABOVE THAT MAKES YOU THINK, even for a second, OF someone who NEVER DIES?

IT IS AN ADJECTIVE DERIVED FROM NEKYS BUT IT ISN'T NEKYS.  IT ISN'T DEAD BODIES THAT RISE UP AS SOME WOULD LEAD YOU TO BELIEVE...

1 Corinthians 15:52 Adj-NMP  ADJECTIVE - NOMINATIVE MASCULINE PLURAL
GRK: καὶ οἱ νεκροὶ ἐγερθήσονται ἄφθαρτοι
NAS: for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised
KJV: and the dead shall be raised
INT: and the dead will be raised imperishable

AS AN ADJECTIVE - IT IS CLEAR THAT THE MEANING HERE IS NOT OF 'BODIES' FOR THE 'SAVED' TO JUMP INTO BUT OF THOSE WHO ARE MORTAL, SUBJECT TO DEATH, THE 2ND DEATH IN THIS CASE.

THE SPIRITUALLY DEAD/UNSAVED BOTH JUST AND UNJUST.

THOSE WHO WE WILL BE PRIESTS TO for the Lords Day

and we shall be changed.

And STILL speaking to THE ALIVE AND REMAINING BEING CHANGED AND NOT THE DEAD RISING
53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

WITH DEATH SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY, THE ONLY 'DEATH' THAT WILL TAKE PLACE FROM THAT POINT FORWARD IS THE 2ND DEATH, and THAT WON'T COME ABOUT FOR 1000 YEARS.

THERE CAN BE NO DEATH DURING THE LORDS DAY AS DEATH HAS BEEN DEFEATED and SATAN bound.

MEN WILL NOT BE ABLE TO KILL OTHER MEN all would have suffered their first death.  No one new will be born because as the angels in heaven don't take and give in marriage, neither do the spiritual bodies on earth.

AKA NO MORE 'NATURAL EARTH BODIES'.

All those who had taken the mark of the beast HAVE BEEN DESTROYED, along with Satan who goes into the pit to be bound.

Then, All the just and unjust 'dead'  are raised up out from the dead/place of death hell the grave...

AND every knee will bow, and all will WITNESS the POWER OF GOD when all the elect are 'changed' right before their very eyes and joined up with Christ.

His foot will then touch down upon the Mount of Olives, and the Lords Day will begin.

55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

And that is why I believe what is written is exactly what is meant no 'explanation' needed to understand it.

'raised a spirit' vs 'raised a spiritual body'.

Romans 6
1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

2God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

3Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

4Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

1 Peter 2:2 - As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

WHEN ARE 'WE PLANTED'?  Doesn't the SYMBOLIC 'first death' FOR THE SAVED take place when we are baptized?  Wouldn't that SYMBOLIC death of this body be the ACTUAL beginning of the SEED being planted?  Isn't that when we ARE MADE A NEW CREATURE?  Isn't it at that point we start to FEED from the words of GOD?  Isn't that when 'we begin' our journey to MATURE as CHRISTIANS?

Surely, the 'birth' of our 'spiritual body' doesn't BEGIN in the corruption of the earth as the sinful flesh goes back to dust.  ISN'T THAT EVERYTHING WE ARE SAVED FROM?

23And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.

24And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

25Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

26Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

When did Christ enter into his glory?  When He rose up from death.

He died and rose.  He rose in A BODY, He rose in glory.

It says we rise like Him here

13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

And again here

2So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

If the SAVED aren't raised in glory then they don't rise like Christ

If the Saved are SPLIT into parts and only 'the spirit and/or the soul' is raised up then we wouldn't be 'rising' like Christ at all, would we?

So, on the side of IN A BODY

Is how God made man, a body and breath which BECOMES a soul.

There are two bodies A natural and a spiritual

Those who are saved KNOW the resurrection, those who aren't don't

Raised in likeness - He rose in a body, and into glory

The 'never die' would have to die 2 times to become a part of THE DEAD who rise at Christ's return.  Once before they followed Him and again to 'rise with the dead'

AGAINST

nothing written saying WITHOUT body

all souls in heaven PRESENTED as having bodies

nothing written of 'corpses/carcasses' being raised at any time

it is THE DEAD
and not the living who rise when Christ returns

There is a SINGLE resurrection of BOTH the just and UNJUST at His return and for sure the UNJUST  have never been saved

24And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you:

and unto you that hear shall more be given.

Acts 17:11 - These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

I understand this isn't the NORM, and that MANY believe we 'return' to be resurrected, but IF you are willing to TRULY SEEK out HIS TRUTH, in HIS WORDS and dispel any and all 'traditions' that may have crept in, you will find THE DIFFERENCE in your current belief will not be that much of a disruption.

Instead of rising up without a body and returning for one, YOU RISE, all of you, still in the image created in.

Instead of standing at the judgment seat of Christ without a body you are in one.

Instead of returning as 'air or breath' or however that is seen, you return in one

Instead of EVERYONE having to find their 'dust' and waiting for a 'body' to rise to re-join, you stay in the air with the Lord.

Instead of being some part of THE DEAD that rise, you never are.

Instead of the 'living' being raised up 'with the just and unjust DEAD' (who ALSO NEED TO BE RAISED so we are priests TO SOMEONE and THERE IS SOMEONE to rule over for the Lords Day)

Then there is no question of what NEVER DIE means because all it means is going to heaven, in a spiritual body, incorruptible, in glory and in power and the continuing of your eternal life, having been SAVED FROM 'death' and from going to hell.

The understanding of how and why the saved go to heaven/FOLLOW HIM, while the unsaved 'don't know the way/the resurrection/ the Lord and Saviour AND SO have BOTH of their bodies descend,  and why those who descend at the first death remain there until 'the Resurrection' returns, and THEN they rise up from THE PLACE OF THE DEAD.

EVERYTHING GETS SUPER SIMPLE.  Easy to learn, easy to remember, easy to teach exactly AS IT IS WRITTEN, unnecessary explanations disappear, and unity takes place.
