@believeinHim Like, you mean that for you tattoos on a man are not a game changer, right?

Figure also the situation for Christian men. Even among conservative / churchgoing women, whether it's re. single young women, or widowed older women, these comments, below, seem to show that it's increasingly difficult for men to make tattoos a game changer as to how they would be regarded.

Do you see how it can be increasingly hard now for ppl to make them a game changer?

One of the churches I go to has three quite elderly women, all widows, who recently went out and got themselves tattoos. .. There was no doubt they were all first tattoos. All three of them went out and got them together.

I didn't even see them. She just said that she had them and wanted to get them removed. Surprised? Yes she didn't look like someone who had a lot of tattoos. A small tattoo wouldn't have surprised me.

@Renskedejonge So you were in fact surprised.

I guess this does beg the question of what 'sort' of person is tattooed.

Frankly it's so widespread. And it's pursued widely among the most conservative of ppl.

I'm not sure this is the best approach to wanting to feel younger, but undoubtedly it's an accurate description of what does happen. GodsGrace, Heavenhome and Gallo-Kohlas are very likely to be completely accurate in their various comments, above.

So I think it would today be hard to say what 'sort' of person — as a restricted category — gets tattooed.

Ink or not, for the believer it's the case of 'the inward man renewed day by day' (2 Corinthians 4.16).

( cc @NConly You're knowledegable about ink; does all this seem to make sense? )

@NConly

Yes.

(The Mennonite Lady that you mention must have been pretty conservative.)

Nowadays it's done, not because a woman is of a certain type.

More likely............it's done because it's what adult women do.

e.g.,:

"Hi Nikki! you got a tattoo!" "Yes, I've turned 18."

tattoos ... everyone and their grandmothers has them now and, they do not a thing for me, what can I say? Pretty much every one I know, and that includes Christians and myself, have a tattoo so... christianforums dot com

And they are often faith-based in design.

(I guess this all sounds like it makes accurate sense.................?)

A careful, thorough ink up in a modest placement that can prove to be a talking point for many years may be exactly what some earnest believers want from a tattoo parlor visit.

She just got saved. She had it already. But not one or 2 tattoos. That wouldnt be surprising. A collegue has a small one instead of a wedding ring for instance. But this girl said her arms were full of tattoos. I didn't see them. She hid them. Why that was surprising was that she looked very neat. Make up, neat hair, super neat clothes. Not a type I expected to be tattooed up. And a Dutch girl. Almost nobody has many tattoos. I never see it. Once in Greece a Russian woman in the swimming pool was tattooed up.

I have an especially difficult time accepting women for tattoos, And promoting tattoos for women.

Think, Anything a woman wears out or announces in public, any man or any other woman now knows where to go, where you might go, Your interests etc, Where you might go to or where you might be.

I don't think men are ever intimidated by us. Unless we are armed. This is for our protection.

Hi @believeinHim Oh I agree with the idea of not promoting tattoos for someone else. Women included.

Only the person decides.

Discussion of the subject whether for men or women can be valid, imho. (You have helpfully contributed to such discussion.)
