I wanted to bump this up, and suggest that it is compatible with the topic of the "marks". It's a bit lengthy, and it may not seem to have a connection, but if you wait until the 4th post, then you'll see that there is one after all. The Mark of the Beast in Revelation is the exact opposite of Deuteronomy 6:8. God tells Israel to wear his commandments as marks between their eyes and on their right hands. Disobedient apostate Israel chose another god: Rome. (Remember: We have NO KING BUT CAESAR!) So, they wound up with the Mark of the Beast, signifying that they were now worshiping a false god (Caesar/Rome), and placing HIS commands on their forehead (signifying the mind/heart) and on their right hand (the strong hand, signifying doing HIS deeds). There are many things in Revelation which signify something literal by a symbol. Dragon=Satan, Beast=Rome/Caesar and so forth.
