I'm just trying to see if it really happened. I just don't know how somebody can survive 3 days in the belly of a whale. It just sounds funny to me. And I in no wise wish to call JEsus a liar. That is farthest from my mind. Greetings Mr. Corey, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to accuse you of anything. I was just pointing out the possibilities if the story of Jonah was not true. A little while back I heard about some research done by this scientist and as it turns out, Jesus was not the only one to survive being swallowed by a "big fish". There is a species of whale that can swallow a man whole, and there has been at least one case in relatively recent history where the man survived, but came out mottled because of the acids on the whales stomach. It was a very interesting program. Blessings, Dad Ernie You meant Jonah, right?

There may have been some giant prehisoric fish at that time. Maybe the fish was having digestive problems and there was an air bubble in it's stomach. Anything's possible. Then what else could it have been? If the scriptures say it's a great fish, then it must be a fish. There may have been some giant prehisoric fish at that time. Maybe the fish was having digestive problems and there was an air bubble in it's stomach. Anything's possible. Then scientists must have fround it by now........ Anything to prove that............ Just scripture. Jonah1:17 Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. Jonah2:1 Then Jonah prayed to the LORD his God out of the fish's belly, 2 And said, I cried by reason of my affliction to the LORD, and he heard me; out of the belly of hell cried I, and you heard my voice. 10 And the LORD spoke to the fish, and it vomited out Jonah on the dry land. If he meant whale, he would have said whale. Genesis 1 21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Job 7 12 Am I a sea, or a whale, that you set a watch over me? Ezekiel 32 2 Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say to him, You are like a young lion of the nations, and you are as a whale in the seas: and you came forth with your rivers, and troubled the waters with your feet, and fouled their rivers. As you can see, they knew the difference between a fish and a whale, even back then.

Sarah (age 6): Teacher, did you know that in the Bible is says that a man named Jonah got swallowed by a whale and after 3 days it spit him out; and he was alive? Teacher: Sarah, honey, that's just a fairy tale. Whales don't swallow people and spit them out. Sarah: Yes, they do. It's in the Bible, so it must be true! Teacher(getting annoyed): Listen, the mouth of a whale is too small; that did not ever happen; it is just a fairy tale. Sarah(confidently): Well, when I get to heaven I'm going to ask Jonah. Teacher(smugly): What if Jonah didn't go to heaven. Sarah (smiling sweetly) : Then you can ask him.
