Does this mean that if you accepted Yeshua long ago, and left the church, it would be a disgrace to Yeshua to come and be saved again? Thanks for any help on this verse, Aaron

Those who have tasted the word, know its power and understand just what happened at calvary. The bible says 'to him who has sinned much, much is forgiven him'. Paul considered himself to be the greatest sinner of all - he persecuted and murdered Gods people. The mercy of God that fell on him, made him realise just how unworthy and underserving he was. This, plus his passion, determination and repentance, has reached down to us through many many generations - bringing salvation and instruction to many people. Samson had a head on his shoulders, but he tended to get himself in some very hairy situations. He knew he was anointed, but it was in his last triumph that he actually did the will of the father. When a person becomes born again, they are considered babes in Christ. There are several teething problems. And times when they don't want to let go of things. During this time, a strong foundation in the word and a relationship with God, are being laid. This is usually the time when believers fall away and it is usually because they don't want to let go of something. God wants us to surrender everything to him. Remember that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus. The law of the spirit for those in Christ sets us free from the law of sin and death. It is safe to get back up on the horse and ride. Bless you in Jesus Precious Name

Verse 6 describes those who have completely disowned Jesus deliberately. It's more than backsliding, it's a total abandonment of the Christian faith altogether. (Apostates) They become like the very people that crucified Jesus. Verses 7 and 8 are an illustration of the condemnation of those who turn away from Jesus.
