  1. Wow!! awesome questions feel free to write in your answers too
  2. Blessings all, I'm designing a Sunday show for our local radio station and I'm planning on adding scripture, gospel music as well as Q&A. I could really use your help in designing Questions that are basic questions that non/new christians ask and also relevant questions on what is going on in the world today. Thank You
  3. It's pretty tough letting go. It's hard enuff wen us ordinary folk have to let them go off to high school and university. Then comes the day wen they get experimental or MARRIED. The celebrity world is a bigger scale and a lot more pressure on parents with famous kids. Look at the Michael Jackson situation. Heath Ledger is another example, Lynsey Lohan. Whew!! Not easy. Interestingly though, it seams that in the celebrity circle, the blame is usually laid on the celebrity, where as a lot of fingers get pointed at parents in the ordinary world. thank goodness God has the whole world in his hand.
  4. Thank you Believer My emotions are all over the place at the moment. I'm in muddy water where my feelings are concerned. Taking a step back to get some clarity and minding what I say to the kids seams to be my best option at the moment. Thank you everyone for listening to my gripes May the Lord bless you with heavens blessings and earths joys
  5. you mean no shaking him, biting kicking and or slapping???
  6. I'm praying for you, Bolts. hang in there... The verse that got me through 2 years was; Heb 11:6 "He is a rewarder of those who seek Him" Thank you I could do with some self control right now
  7. Kat, I'd be happy with a 'thank you' from him or even a tiny word of appreciation. When his mum got sick I was the first one he got in contact with to provide home aid for her. I didn't mind helping one bit as it gave his mum a chance to be with her grandchildren before she passed. I'd love to know why he is snubbing me. Why can't he be upfront with me????
  8. Ok well my ex and I have been separated for 6 years. In those years I have tried to keep a civil and respectable friendship going (I have two children to him). Just recently, his mum, who has been ill for some time, passed away. I supported my ex as much as I could through it and afterwards for several weeks. Now he is snubbing me. He tells me one thing and then goes off and does something else. He'll arrange with me to have the children for the weekend, and then I find out that he wasn't with them very much at all. I'm soo worked up. I could throw something at him!
  9. OH My!!! where do I start!!! My 7 year old came home one day and told me he was going to grow up to be a
  10. Looks like Congress is blaming wallstreet and wants them to clean up their own mess .......... I wonder who they will blame for the weather??? God perhaps???? Will they expect him to clean up his mess???

  12. Please pray for my job situation, things are a bit tough at work at the moment. Thank you.
  13. These are times of great testing for our faith. Your's is a challenge that every child of God is now facing. Trust him with all your heart, all my mind and with all your soul.
  14. Just from reading your post, I get the impression that your friend is a 'hands on' practical person. Which means that she probably needs to see Christ demonstrated and manifested. This is not a hard thing. God has already demonstrated that he is with her through the renewing of her faith. Share God''s blessings, his joys, testimonies and God's love with her. When she is ready, she will come round and you will probably be the person she will ask about studying the bible.
  15. Hello Artslady I'm not an atheist, so I hope u don't mind if I sneak in hea God causes his sun to shine on both good and bad alike - both believers and non believers. I've always pondered on peoples last moments before they leave this earth and the only thing I can come up with is that only God knows the hearts and minds of men. At a glance, the people on the second list are visionaries and crusaders. Visions that came directly from God perhaps. I pray that the Lord will give us all a vision for without hope we perish.
  16. I think it is really important for churches to realise the importance of exalting and cherishing it's members. People come to Christ because the spirit has led them. Most come in great sorrow and weeping before the Lord, yet not many churches restore them back to God. Instead they spend more time dragging out their sins when new convers should be getting healing, hope, joy and knitted into the fellowship. It's awful
  17. Job was very prosperous. The test for him could possibly have been whether a 'camel could pass through the eye of a needle'. It is harder for a rich man to enter into heaven because all his security and beliefs are in prosperity. This is partly why I am cautious of prosperity doctrine.
  18. Thank you very much for all your thought provoking replies It was just a reflective question based on things I have seen other christians do. It seamed to me that they were caught between a rock and a hard place - possibly because of what they thought forgiveness meant and not having a full understanding on it. They seamed to be in bondage over the whole thing. Perhaps true forgiveness hadn't taken place, otherwise they would be free ...... or ...... perhaps, they have not received the revelation that
  19. Blessings to you in Jesus Name People fall off the wagon - go back to their old ways, because it is familiar ground. A new foundation of beliefs for dealing with heartache, disappointment, loneliness, physical or mental abuse etc. has not been laid properly. A person whose belief foundations are laid properly would be able to shrug situations off or intelligently question what is going on. This new foundation that I am talking about, is when God gives us a new heart and puts a right spirit in us. He is able to remove our hearts of stone. On a side note: I believe that we are in the last days and that the Lord is raising up a new church. The Bride of Christ.
  20. This is something that has been running through my mind for the last couple of weeks. I've seen and known christians who, to me, are caught between a rock and a hard place with this issue. They forgive 70 times 7 times, yet, in some instances, the person they are forgiving seams to get stronger and more manipulative. Not the Effect they were going for. Strategically, the person being forgiven is meant to come to repentance because of the gloryand grace extended to them. Unconditional love is meant to win over. I don't think God ever intended for forgiveness to become a bondage. I was wondering where separating ourselves from sin fits into this and I have come to the conclusion that for sanities sake, we ought to forgive but keep ourselves safe through separating from sin. The third dimension in this act, would be that the Holy Spirit would minister to the person and to us as we pray. So those have been my thoughts over the last couple of weeks. What are your thoughts on this?
  21. Hi Cerebrus and welcome to worthyboards As you probably know, psychology is a science that uses a methodical process to prove or disprove a hypothesis. The word of God, on the other hand, is a life giving source. One that many testify to having a significant affect on their lives. Science gives us an appreciation of creation, functionalism, structuralism etc, but the one thing it cannot give us is eternal life. Therein lies the balance.
  22. The first thing you need to do LadyC is to take your link off and remove yourself from any association with that website - if that is the site that is going to be used. Next up, let the office manager know that frontpage is not used anymore. Whether you want to teach her how to build html websites is up to you. If you do decide to then make it clear what your terms are. Afterall most ppl actually pay for this type of training. Also, purrhaps if you can both come to some kind of compromise or agreement that suits you both, then I think things would run alot smoother around the office.
  23. As OP are you allowed to monkey around???
