Partly true, God-man, but much more to it. Godless leaders will use them as human shields. Mistakes made by bad intelligence. Inaccurate weapons. Bad decisions. All kinds of things happen.

What Idolsmasher failed to provide here is how many of those civilians were killed by their own forces! If you take these numbers on face value, one might get the impression that the US was responsible for every death that ever happened since Adam and Eve.

Sorry, I'm not buying it. I'm sure that we were responsible for 9/11 too, right? Just getting what we deserve, huh?

I'll see all of you in the other threads, guys and gals.

God bless you all,

t.

What Idolsmasher failed to provide here is how many of those civilians were killed by their own forces!

And probably some were killed by the South Vietnamese, true, but America's tactics in that war are well known and documented. Whole villages were wiped out and just about everyone killed because of the paranoia of American troops. Then there was Napalm, agent orange, and God knows what else, absolute horrors straight from hell. How about the secret bombing of Cambodia and Laos? Estimates of casualties in Cambodia go all the way up to half a million people.

I'll grant you that maybe some of the people on the ground are not totally uncaring, but the American administration is as well as the hawkish think tank advisors who plan these wars and strategies almost solely for American domination not only politically and militarily, but ecomically as well. The war in Iraq for example was mainly a strategic move and the threat was fabricated so all those people died over America's need to control the oil in the Middle east to feed it's industries and rich lifestyle in order to make more weapons with which to control and the cycle continues. American involvement in Vietnam began over the Tonkin affair which it is pretty well known now was a hoax. You know one reason why they hate socialism and communism? Because both of them tend to nationalize industry and resources for their own people and the American companies can't get in there any more to exploit the people and their resources. Just ask the CIA.

Sorry, I'm not buying it. I'm sure that we were responsible for 9/11 too, right?

You know, I never believed all that stuff but lately, I'm beginning to wonder. I certainly haven't seen any hard evidence of it but you never know. It certainly has gotten the hawks the things they've been wanting for a long time. 9/11 is basically what they now say justifies going into Iraq but no threat has been found because the threat was fabricated. That's pretty callous in my books and is a total disregard for human life. The list is endless really of American intervention in the foreign affairs of other countries for the sake of American hedgemony and people all over the world have paid for the American way of life (weath) with their blood.

I know it is probably difficult for you as a military person to accept all this but the information is out there if you want to find it and from many credible sources. If you really want to know if your country's actions are moral or not, you should seek these people and stories out and let the truth be known. Do you really think that Jesus would condone America's wars and CIA interventions?

Actually, Idolsmasher, most of us in the military are pretty smart. Alot of people seem to forget that we were not born in this job and actually have civilian brains somewhere deep inside.

You can check throughout these war on terrorism threads to see how I answer most of your points, It's all been said before on both sides.

I do want to say "hi" to all of my friends here though. I'll be out of the loop for 4 days.

God bless you all.

Ok Ted, I guess you don't want to talk about it, that's ok. The main thing you said that I took issue with was the not caring about human life thing suggesting that America was somehow more moral and righteous. I think it can be proven from America's last 50 years or so of history that that really isn't the case, and that is basically the point I was trying to make.

God bless and keep safe!

Ted, I'm so glad you're okay. I heard today that we lost two of our men over in Afghanistan today, and 4 wounded. I kept thinking about you.

I'm so glad you posted today...I know you're still safe. Thanks and praise to the Lord!

The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Check out your daily newspapers, ultra-liberal though they may be. Practically in EVERY INSTANCE, the UNDENIABLE FACT jumps out at you: MUSLIM MURDERERS are active in practically every world trouble-spot. Not Evangelical Christians, followers of Christ......MUSLIMS, followers of one, warrior-general Mohammad of Yathrib. No change at all from Islam inception in 7th. century. Still the religion of the sword. Blood & fire the watchwords.

Must the farce continue?

Mohammad, man of war. Jesus Christ, Man of peace.

Hey all, again.

I'm on a 4 day R&R trip in Qatar. Somehow I found a computer and it wasn't long before I had a chance to infect it.

I was looking over the past few posts of mine and noticed a kind of mean streak towards some. For that, I apologize. Call it what you will, but I reckon I'm just pure tired.

Yes, Idolsmasher, the US is by no means innocent over the years concerning the needless loss of life. At times, more guilty than others. I've stated that many times, that's why I referred you to past posts of mine. Also, myself and others have been through this many times on both sides of the fence. Most of what we were debating here has been posted and I didn't want to rehash the old stuff. I didn't mean to sound harsh. I think I detected a hint of "it's all America's fault" syndrome with your posts and jumped to squish it. I've grown up over the years to try and live as best I could in relation to the original ideals of this country. If more of us could bring back them old fashioned ways, I think we'd be doing some good. This country was born out of the dream of having the freedom to worship God, not, as some have twisted it, to worship any god. Our Gov't has ruined that basic premise over the past 200 years or so, all in the effort not to have anyone offended.

Getting back to the original topic on this thread, I'm not all that sympathetic to those that would give lip service to Jesus and then commit bloody murder in His name. Those people maybe should take a good look at the Bible they profess to read. Most of these missions that we go on have all the good intentions from the outset, but seem to get off track at times. You should see it over here. American soldiers are getting shot in the act of giving food to the poor in towns. Where is the crime here? Were we wrong to bring food, water, and medicine to that villiage that day? These muslim institutions have no regard for human life. There, I said it again. It's a lie designed to give power to those that use it and keep the others in line. A religion built around the lies of a twisted soul.

Again, I want to say "hi" to all of you on this board. Thanks for the support.

Hey Cat, OneAccord, Shadow2b, Adstar, Trav, Arthur (ain't heard from you in a while), Pam, George, God-man, Lanikala, and all of you here.

God Bless you and keep the Word out front

t.

PS, I almost forgot. I had the chance to win one for Christ the other day.

Praise be to His name!

wasnt the romam catholic church responsible for the crusades?a group that has give true christians a bad name.

Oh my!

*cheap shot alert*

Just in case you didn't know Islam followers had a pretty clear intention of exterminating all christians (catholics) in Europe by those years starting by the eastern/western sides and then to the center of the continent so SELF-DEFENSE is not an evil act by any means.
