I would think the riches that they were speaking of would have been the actual gold/gold coins, silver etc. I thought the actual temple worship items were in the holdings of the Vatican? It is often said that the church was built on the martredom of the christians in that colleseum. In there today there is a big, but simple wooden cross for the men, women and children who died there. Although I understand Christian mauling to death became un popular becassue the christians werent afraid to die. Isnt it amazing the cross is built on Jewish riches buried beneath the foundations?
