Brown's theory claims that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and that she conceived a child. It also suggests that the bloodline continues--unbroken--to this day. Josh shows what's true and what's clearly make-believe in Dan Brown's bestseller. From musty libraries to ancient churches, Josh's unique quest leads him to seek the DNA evidence that might prove or disprove one of the most sensational claims in modern history. Most remarkably, he'll orchestrate the first ever DNA test on a Merovingian royal to find out if the story of a divine bloodline stretching back to Jesus and Mary Magdalene could possibly be true. He proved that the whole legend of the bloodline of Jesus carrying over into the Merovingian line was a hoax, as well as the so called society that claimed it. I stayed up so I could watch the repeat showing. (ZZZZZZ) Yeah - it was funny how they pieced that together. And the DNA evidence of the Merovingian queen seals the coffin! (Her DNA is "typical European" - no Mid-Eastern indications.) Hee-hee!

As is clear, from that show and other sources, it's pretty flaky... I've read it and other books like it. I find them amusing but wouldn't mistake them for serious works. The DaVinci Code was a ficticious novel, why then, is there such controversy? I can completely understand if it were a nonfiction book, but this is just rediculous. More Americans need to read nonficticious works to balance the movies they watch, so there can be a clear line between reality and fantasy.
