It's going to sound crazy I know, but Preparation H will work, lol! About 14 years ago I got sunburnt really bad and was ready to scream and cry. My mother talked me into putting it on there since it supposed to shrink swelling and soothe your tush, lol! It actually helped if I remember correctly!

Erm...I think I'll stick to aloe vera gel!

I like to put the aloe gel in the fridge before I use it - that way it feels really nice going on!

Benadryl is an anti-histamine. It should help.

Means it is for allergies (specially for emergencies (your throat is closing cause of allergy, sever itch or so), also do not drive if you take this, since it will give you heavy sleep and drowsiness after about an hour or so of taking it, and trust me, one tought thing about benadryl, it's almost impossible to stay awake if you taake it !

As others said, use Aloe and Vinegar I heard is good, sigh, I get burned a lot if I go to beach since I got awfully sensitive skin so I get burned quickly , so aloe and a good bath will help out, also try using cotton only clothes or so so your skin doesn't get rashed because of other materials.

That's a great idea!

vinegar works...but you'll smell like a pickle!

Thank you :)

Hopefully I've learnt my lesson now! Though at the beginning of summer I always say that I'm going to be sensible this year and I always end up getting burnt at least once but hopefully I'll behave this year and put plenty of sun lotion on and prevent the itch- prevention is better than cure, as they say!

I had a bad sunburn about a month ago...well, tanning bed burn...my whole backside was burned...in stripes from the bulbs!

Anyway, I used Johnson's Baby Lotion with Aloe...it had the aloe for burn relief and also served as a moisturizer....

I can sympathize with you!!! :emot-highfive:

I'll try and remember that for next time!

I wasn't trying to tan or anything, I have unbelievably pale skin (the kind that makes you look dead) so I don't tan. I was just enjoying the sun (living in England we don't get all that much of it!) and no one was around to put sun lotion on my back so my back suffered the consequences. I was outside for over 5 hours so I'm just lucky my back wasn't facing the sun for all of that time!
