Guest realdreams
Would You Share Your "Small Miracles" With Others? Hello Friends I know this sounds like a strange request. I am asking you to share any stories of small miracles you may have experienced in your daily life. I am not talking about huge, glorious or life-changing miracles, (though I know many people have experienced those as well) what I am seeking is those little, everyday incidents that impact our lives but go largely unnoticed by others. These can be as simple as a stranger offering comfort at a time when it was really needed with no explanation as to why they were there for you at the right time. It could be an unexplained delay in your plans for the day that resulted in avoiding some kind of disaster or tragedy that would have befallen you if not for that delay. It could be as simple as taking a different route to work for no particular reason that just happened to put you in the right place at the right time to witness an accident and call 911 to assist the injured. Or maybe you had an unusual urge to contact a family member and found out later that your call helped bring new hope to that person when they were feeling totally alone and unloved. These are the kind of stories that I am asking you to share with me in the hopes that I may compile a collection for publication so that many people may take hope in the everyday "little" miracles that are all around us. If you would like to share your stories of small miracles and possibly provide some proof of the great spirit that still remains strong in the world, please send your stories to: admin@realdreamsnow.com?subject=Small_Miracles -or send them snail mail to: Doug Dority 2416 Osborne Drive Norman, OK 73069 Here is an example of a small miracle that happened to me only 1 week ago: ****Start Story**** I make my living as a taxi driver and had just delivered a young soldier to his base in Lawton, OK which is about 70 miles from my home in Norman, OK. I had just gotten on the turnpike to go home at about 4 am on that Sunday morning and was travelling at the speed limit of 75 MPH. when a large deer jumped the concrete divider separating the two sides of the turnpike and landed directly in front of the Lincoln Towncar I was driving. I had no time to reach the brake before I hit the deer dead center between theheadlights of the car. Both airbags exploded and I was thrown forward into airbag and the steering wheel. Though I thought I broke an arm, it turned out that it was only bruised and badly scraped. (First small miracle) I was able to keep control of the car and safely pulled to the shoulder. (If I had been 1/2 a second earlier, the deer would have still been in the air and would have come directly through the windshield, almost definitely killing me) I called the taxi company to report the incident and get help as both headlights were out on the car. They immediately sent another car to rescue me. After an hour and a half wait the other car arrived and to my surprise it contained 2 of the owners and one other driver. (Second small miracle at least to me because I had no idea that these people cared so much for me) We determined that only the front end had superficial damage and the car was drivable although with no headlights. The moon was near full so we were able to follow the other car back to Norman. Now here is the biggest of the "Small Miracles" that happened that Sunday morning: Upon reaching Norman, we pulled into a Love's gas station to refuel. A man walked up to us and was looking at the damage to the car. Amazingly, he was a body mechanic who was travelling through Norman on his way to Wichita, Kansas. He was stranded at this station with his wife and two very small children sleeping in the car. They were out of food, gas and money and had no idea how to make the last 200 miles of their journey. This man and the owner of the taxi company came to an agreement that the man would follow us to the taxi shop where we had another old taxi that had the parts needed to fix the front end and that he would do the work that same day for only $200! (This was more than likely a $1200 repair job) The owner's wife was gracious enough to take the family out to McDonalds and put them up in a hotel room for the day while the man completed the work on the car which was finished the same day as promised. The young couple was able to make the rest of their journey and the cab company saved $1000 and we all felt wonderful to be able to help this nice family. I don't know how to compute the odds of finding an experienced body man in need of work at 7:00 am on a Sunday morning but I'm sure they are astronomical. I firmly believe that the deer I hit sacrificed its life to provide for a young family in need and that my lack of serious injury was due to God's protection. I thank the Lord for "Small Miracles"! ****End Story**** If you would like to share your stories of small miracles and possibly provide some proof of the great spirit that still remains strong in the world, please send your stories to: admin@realdreamsnow.com?subject=Small_Miracles -or send them snail mail to: Doug Dority 2416 Osborne Drive Norman, OK 73069 Your name will be included if you so desire or the story can remain anonymous. I've been short of $$$ and I knew he would put it on credit for me. My wife had went to work, praise the Lord, and the oil was way overdue for a change. I bought the oil and filter and took it up to my mechanic, along with a set of plugs for the car, and had him perform the needed work. He refused to even charge me! As a matter of fact, the last few times I've taken stuff to him, he's refused to charge me!

One Friday night , we went to a meeting of a group in houston called turning point ministries int. . IT is a group of street ministers like myself. that used to meet on friday nights before going on the streets to minister to the lost..... in such places as gay bars, crack houses.... and around burning barrels in the winner time.. These are some of the hardest places to minister to. But that is another story. This one night a man was visiting from Ireland... after he spoke . HE walked through the audience . ministering to people . HE walked up to me and said THE LORD IS HEALING YOUR LIVER RIGHT NOW. YOU see when i was young before i got saved i was an alcholic.. and my liver was almost destroyed from it. ...... now this was seventeen years afther i had gotten saved. wow what a small miracle....... how in the first place did he even know that i have ever taken a driink. and that my liver was damaged. except the LORD GOD SHOWED HIM ...... GLORY BE TO THE LAMB THAT WAS SLAIN ... FOR OUR SINS AND OUR SICKNESSED THAT IS ONE OF MY MIRACLES THAT THE LORD GOD DID FOR ME.... AMEN AND AMEN I WILL SHARE MORE LATER GOD BLESS YOU BROTHER AND SISTERS IN CHRIST ....... IF YOU ARE LOST READING THIS THREAD.... I ASK THAT YOU CONSIDER IT TO BE THE TRUTH OF THE LOVE OF THE LORD HAS FOR HIS CHILDREN AMEN

Isn't it so odd how God moves? Makes me think of another miracle: We don't actually "own" the house we live in. It belongs to my parents, but my dad moved out several years ago leaving my mother to make the payments on it. We moved in (wife and kids and I) and we were like 6 months behind on the payment. I knew in reason one day we would walk out to the mailbox and find some sort of a notice telling us to GET OUT. Finally got a letter one day saying that due to the fact my dad had filed bankruptcy that no one was under obligation to pay, but we would have to evict if payment wasn't made. I had been praying all of this time just to get caught up and I figured I'd let the Lord take it from there! Well, we managed to pay the house off on time, was charged no interest and we live in a free and clear house!
