You owe it to yourself as a child of GOD to read them! :thumb: "E-Mail from GOD" by Andy Cloniger is a daily devotional set up in the computer email format.  I've enjoyed reading it daily very much and each day I look forward to reading it. "The Mystery of GOD's Will" by Charles Swindoll has proven to be excellent reading. "JESUS Final Warning" by David Jeremiah centers around Matthew 24 & 25.  I'm very bias when it comes to Dr Jeremiah because there is nothing he writes that I don't love to read!!   How about any of you....what have you found to be good christian reading? Right now, I'm working on 2 books, one's a necessity and the other is for edification but is more enjoyment. One that I'm reading that's a must is a book about dealing with the adult victims/survivors of childhood sexual abuse.  A situation in my life dictates that I read it (when I say that, I mean that I really WANT to understand based upon the situation and in order to do so, I have to read this book).  It's heavy, but actually very enlightening for me...I need to understand and this is helping.  It's written from a Christian perspective, with lots of scripture, and just practical information.  The fellow that wrote it really did his homework. The other I'm reading right now is "If You Want to Walk on Water, You've Got to Get Out of the Boat" by John Ortberg.  It came as a recommendation from a lady minister in my former denomination, but I got really busy and left it sit for a while, and now the pastor of my new church just finished a sermon series about 4-5 weeks ago pulling information from that same book.  So that kinda fueled my interest in getting back to that book.  It's a good read.

"The Final Quest" by Rick Joyner.....awesome book!! I also just read- "Heaven, Close encounters of the God King" by Jesse Duplantis I have a ton of books, I can't put a good one down. Some others I liked: Prisoners of Hope .. Dayna Curry and Heather mercer In Light of Eternity.... Randy Alcorn Prepare for War... Rebecca Brown MD (not for the faint at heart) also Pigs in the Parlor... franks and ida hammond Prosperity and the coming apocalypse.... Jim Bakker I love Joyce Meyer and the Left Behind series (I've read all) I love all worship music, Hillsons, Third Day, and other select songs by various artists... I can only imagine by Mercy Me is one.. I don't like the real heavy rock sounding stuff. Third Day is about the "strongest" I get. Their music can lead me into worship though.... I have read all the Left Behind Series. Â (In fact I'm a regular on the Left Behind Message Boards) Â I loved Frank Peretti's Piercing the Darkness and This Present Darkness, I liked The Oath but it was more along the lines of Stephen King. Â I also love Nephilim by Marzuli. Â I recently read Facade and the author's name is eluding me right now. Â I also read a book last year The Blessed Child it was really good, but dern the luck I can't remember the author's name to that one either and I just looked at the book yesterday. Â And I hate to frustrate everyone, but I bought a new book yesterday, The Age of the AntiChrist, it's a combination of Left Behind and Peretti's Darkness books, and can't remember the author's name of hand either. Â If anyone is interested, I'll look at them later and post the names for you. As for non-fiction I read them for learning, not so much as entertainment. Â I've read F. F. Bruce's Hard Sayings of Christ, William Webster's The Church of Rome at the Bar of History, Yancey's The Bible that Jesus Read, just to name a few. Â A really fascinating book and a backwards modern day story of Job. Â Take care and with much agape love, George
