I make it a habit to judge all movies without having seen them! That is good! It is called discernment. It works well.

What you are describing is an educated guess as to the contents of the movie. Such guesses can often be wrong and inaccurate.

So I don't see a movie that may have been good? So? What do I miss? I trust the discernment I have been given. No need to worry. Doesn't EVERYONE make a judgment about a movie before deciding to see it? Sure they do!

But they don't all bear false witness against the movie. If you choose not to see a movie that's fine but don't comment on what you haven't seen.

drugs? the review on this site does not have this as one

sex? is this what they are calling "adult situations"

language?? strong language? possibly using the Lords Name in vain???

violence??? what kind of violence???? blood and gore? or rape, pillige and plunder....????

I do not think i have to see the movie to know that i do not wish to see it... if i would not let my grandson or best friends little girl see it, i do not want to see it.... if i will keep my kids from seeing it, i would not want to see it either....

Yes

The grandpa uses drugs.

sex? is this what they are calling "adult situations"

There are no sex scenes or nudity. There is a gag with pornographic magazines, however. The adult situations would probably include drug use, the porn mags, death, financial problems, and an allusion to an attempted suicide. Quite simply, I don't think (pre-pubescent) children would understand the movie.

language?? strong language? possibly using the Lords Name in vain???

There's swearing. I don't know if the Lord's name was used off the top of my head.

violence??? what kind of violence???? blood and gore? or rape, pillige and plunder....????

No violence.

:):21: False witness? As if it is some high-minded serious movie that needs defense! Sounds like this movie isn't worth all this fuss. It appears to be a cheap, silly movie that glorifies modern stupidity. I say, good for Ray Comfort for exercising his right to free speech.

It's actually one of the smartest movies to come out in the last couple years. But whatever. Judge the book by its cover.

out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh.....

why would i want to place in my heart filth..... something the world calls good, is not good at all.... why would i wish to imprint foul language or suggestive sights on to the cortex of my mind to be imbedded there for the rest of this life, whether it is verbal or visual, trash is trash, no matter what title it is given

Phl 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things.

is this really a "good" movie???? is this so good a movie, that you would allow Jesus to sit right beside you in the flesh and watch it with you?

you know, your heart is like that of a refridgerator, the only thing that will come out of it is what is placed into it.... if we place trash in the fridge, then trash is all we will get out, if we put trash in the Temple, then the Temple has become a trash dump.... if we sanctify ourselves, we would not want to allow junk to enter our lives, to call evil good is spoke of, and every day there is more and more evil being called good.

would the movie be better if it had no filth in it? if we want clean movies, we must....MUST.... let the producers know that we will not watch anything that is not clean.....

the PG movies today, were would have been R 20 years ago.....

the R movies today I would not have watched 20 years ago, for they would have been considered even worse....

the enemy has snuck in and has ever so gently infiltrated our minds so that we now have grown acustomed to filth and grown numb to it and now call it good....

the Smuthers Brothers were kicked off the air ways about 35 years ago, for what they thought was humor, and that humor then is considered totally clean now..... Wolf Man Jack was not allowed to be broadcast in some states because of his humor or remarks, now what he was saying then is now considered good......

adult humor, Baaa Humbug...... dont need bathroom humor, nothing but nastiness....

Christ told us to sanctify ourselves to set ourselves apart from the world, not to be part of it.....

you can call evil good if you choose, but do not try and say that we are judging when we choose to tell you that trash is trash..... we do not have to eat garbage to know what garbage lookes like.... we do not have to handle it to know that it stinks..... we do not have to see porn to know that it burns its image into the mind......PERMANENTLY.... .even foul language imbeds itself into the mind for a very very very long time, and even years later, when the word is thought of, the persons voice you have heard say it, still rings strong..... the mind, is a very powerful recording device.... even more then a computers hard drive as far as retaining data.... it can not be erased....... it can be burried, but it will emerge, again, and usually when it is not wanted....

protect the Temple of Christ.... only allow that which is good to enter... do not mix good with evil, for good and evil can not co-exist.....

I urge you not to promote this movie....

if you are trying to promote it..... .WHY???? are you trying to sway those that wish to remain clean to go play in the mud???? God Forbid......

we were told to put off the old, and to put on the new.... when we took Christ, we became new creatures, we no longer should be seeking the things that would place a barrier between us and Christ, we should be looking to remove..... discard.... get rid of..... any and everything that would slow us down, that hinder us from walking with Christ.....

I have seen enough movies, to know that a movie that contains cursing, is not a very smart movie, a movie that promotes ( advertises ) porn, drugs, booze, cursing, sex (even inuendos) is not a very smart movie and the author/producers are not very smart at that, thinking that everyone wants to see this trash.... have seen movies that were rated PG that half way through the movie, had a nudity scene, the movie was returned and return of the money was demanded, the manager abliged due to the inaccurate rating on the jacket and the manager then pulled the other copies of the movie off the shelf.....

there is no need for this trash....

this world, most people, are too caught up into being "entertained" that even the majority of those professing to be Christian, miss out on true worship, they want to be catered to, entertained, fed, ministered to, when they should be the ones ministering others, feeding themselves and others, catering to others and spending time in worship, not just singing a few songs off the wall or out of a book, but from their heart......

if you wish to fill the Temple that has been placed in your care with garbage, that is your business, but as for me and my house, we shall continue to serve the Lord, with all our hearts, all our minds, with all our bodies.... our entire being.....

truth is truth..... we are to seek the truth, and the silvery screne is not where we will find the truth, nor from the mouths that are promoting the silvery screen scene ......

I don't understand why Ray Comfort, if prompted by righteousness to shout out about an evil-looking film, should have to wait to decry it!

Because Christians are not to judge people hypocritically or without knowing the facts. I'm sure that Ray would only want to be judged by someone who knows all the relevant facts. Thus, he should do likewise to others before judging them.

We are not called to be judges....but we ARE called to be fruit inspectors. What fruit does this movie produce? Does it exhalt God, God's Word, the Spirit of Christ within the characters? Is God or Christ ever mentioned or implied in the slightest direct or indirect manner? If the answers to these questions are no, then we have to measure the movie for its merit based on God's law and not His grace because God has nothing to do with this movie.

So, what fruit does this movie exhibit? Does it de-sensitize anyone to the negative things within it? Remember, if we as Christians hear a dirty joke and find it funny, then we should check ourselves because we are being partakers of sin. If a movie contains cursing, sexual content and all the other stuff that Hollywood wants to shove down our throats, then how can we watch it and not feel the least bit convicted as Christians?

Ephesians 5:1-7 tells us this....especially verse 7 "Be not ye therefore partakers with them." By finding humor in something that is not of God, we are not listening to God's Word. This includes all of us. I'm not trying to point fingers or condemn anyone. I myself have watched movies in my past and listened to music in my past that served the enemy's purpose instead of God's. All I'm saying is that we each need to keep ourselves in check and be weary of the enemy's tactics, as subtle and innocent as they can appear. More importantly...we need to keep EACH OTHER in check and accept correction with humility and confirmation through God's own Word. Remember that the enemy can make himself appear as an angel of light and that he can ALMOST fool the very elect (meaning those most gifted with God's wisdom.)!

Ephesians 5:1-7

"Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.

But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.

For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.

Be not ye therefore partakers with them."
