I am going to be finishing another book tonight (or actually, probably tomorrow night because I have to stay here at school until 7pm for parent/teacher night). Once I have completed that book, I will have a problem because I do not know what to read next. So, I'm wondering...what is your favorite book? (Besides the Bible of course). You tell me and I'll look it up on Amazon to see if it's something I have read or would like to read. Thanks a bunch!

I'm not sure what kind of books you like to read, but I personally like anything by Joyce Meyer; especially "Beauty for Ashes" and "Is Your Mouth Saved?" Happy reading. I am currently reading, for enjoyment, through the Captain Jack Aubrey series by Patrick O'Brien. These were written years ago, but they are awesome if you like adventures on the high seas. Here is the author's website, The World of Patrick O'Brian.

Here are some: Renovation of the Heart by Dallas Willard. Hearing God by the same author. The Great Divorce by CS Lewis is good. Lee and His Leutenants and Lee's biography by Feeedman God's Greater Glory by Bruce Ware The Imitation of Christ by Thomas a' Kempis Poet and Peasant and Through Peasant Eyes by Bailey The Covenants of Promise by Thomas McComiskey How Long O Lord by D.A. It's got an AMAZING storyline and an ending you wouldn't guess in a million years. Here's a teaser: "Kevin Parson is driving his car late one summer day when, suddenly, his cell phone rings. A man who identifies himself as Slater speaks in a breathy voice: You have exactly three minutes to confess your sin to the world. Refuse, and the car you're driving will blow sky high. Kevin panics. Who would make such a call? What sin? Kevin ditches the car. Precisely three minutes later, a massive explosion sets his world on a collision course with madness." It's amazing. It's written by a husband and wife team, John & Kathy Eytchison. The web site has a sample you can read and is a really cool site. Check it out at www.ElkanTheBook.com. It's not yet available on Amazon but will be when it is released.

I'm also told by a friend that anything else by either Frank Peretti or Tedd Decker is great. Now there is my suggestions for novels, if you want deeper stuff, here is some theology that I personally enjoy. -Genesis in Space and Time or True Spirituality by Francis Schaeffer (or anything else by him for that matter) -C.S. Lewis, and I don't mean Narnia. In fact, I have gotten to where I'm almost bothered when people act like Narnia is the only thing he's written worth reading (silly, I know). Try out Mere Christianity or The Great Divorce to see Lewis's real genius.
Guest lnj
My family tree history book! Absolutely fascinating. I really enjoyed Angelas Ashes and Wilbur Smith books. Can not give a fave as I have way too many. Oh, I loved Appointment in Jerusalem by Lydia Prince.
