How can one read between the lines when I don't know the individual and then get blasted out for over-reacting to someones statement even when they made a valid point in there joking. However I was not trying to over re-act, rather I was trying to clairify but it got misunderstood. How do your read between the line when there is no indication of what you can tell if a person is being teasable, jokable, sarcastic, or serious? The use of this emoticon usually means the poster is joking. Who was that masked man?
Guest
then get blasted out for over-reacting to someones statementTrust and Love. Sometimes you just have to take your licks before you know who you can trust with humor! Anyways, for every time I get blasted, I figure it's ten times less that I deserved! Guest lovinghim4ever
Love! Lots of unconditional love. If I'm unsure of someone's attitude I just PM the person in question and ask what the deal is; very nicely of course. And, sometimes I just let things go; especially if I suspect someone is trying to argue with me. Yes, I believe emoticons help - if you use the right one in the right place. Guest Biblicist
So if this icon mean they are joking -----> <------ and they make a valid point in their joke how should one respond? ray, if you are asking about your response to my comment to an earlier thread, you were not wrong at all in what you said. Pointing out the Truth and making a joke to soften the blow of the hard truth is acceptable for me. Sometimes it is not easy to tell if someone is joking though. It doesn't hurt to ask.
