I'm curious to see others responses to this question. What do you think was considered to be the seat of the mind and will in the Bible?

The soul is the seat of the mind, will and emotions.

As a human thinks in his heart, so is he.

And what is the point of this Truth? People think IN their heart?

The emotions run a direct correlation to what the brain is telling them.

Correct.

One cannot "think" with one's heart. You think with your brain. Physiologically, ALL emotions come from what is going on with the brain.

True, one cannot 'think' with one's heart. We think with our brain. BUT do ALL our emotions REALLY come from what is going on with our brain OR Vice Versa?

Some emotions we act on; some we don't. I think this verse combines what causes emotions and what we do with them. Your brain causes the emotion, your heart decides what to do with them.

What verse? Does your brain really Cause your emotion? Hey a combination of agreement between heart and mind causes maturity of personhood but Does your heart really decide what to do with your thoughts? If so then have you discovered the seat of reason? :)

Any questions.

Yeah!!!

'AS A MAN Thinks IN his heart so he is.' How profound is that?

I agree. The soul operates sort of like our operating system. It integrates our thoughts, feelings, will, social relationships, and body
