I have been to Bible College and have become very familiar with the Bible. Here is my problem, I (on occation) view inapropriate material, pornographic material to be precise. Now I'm not going to get gross so don't delete me yet. I need to be free from this problem, totally. I really deep in my sould hate and am ashamed of this problem. It degrades my future wife, and causes me to have a lack of respect for women. Preachers all over the world claim to be free from this problem, and I want to know how. Thanks for listening. Guest LadyC Posted May 25, 2007 Share Posted May 25, 2007 i have the bondage breaker book too! another excellent one dealing specifically with sexual addiction in any form, is by patrick carnes... it's called "out of the shadows" and there is a companion workbook for it called "a gentle path thru the 12 steps". as a recovered sex addict myself, i can honestly tell you it is the best book i ever read because it didn't trigger any desire for compulsive behaviour, unlike any other book i'd read at the time, even by Christian authors. the workbook is useful but not necessary. patrick carnes is a fabulous christian shrink, if i can use that terminology. he also has a website at sexhelp.com. I do not believe that pornography is a privite issue. Most men have been exposed to it, and have at one time or another experience some problem with it. I just want to be free, and I believe the more prayer and solutions that can be posted publically will not only help me but others with the same problem. I really like your web site by the way.
