God has been the factor in healing it so far..... HOWEVER, as far as diet... I have just quit caffeine. Was drinking about 3 sodas a day and feel a huge difference. Do you find less caffeine gives you less anxiety? I understand everyone has a different body and some people like my sister can drink coffee all day, but I am beginning to suspect it was a pretty big cause in my anxiety. Thoughts? Experiences? Every quit caffeine? Thanks for the responces.
Guest LadyC
caffeine really doesn't affect me much at all. i don't drink coffee, and i gave up sodas when i started trying to lose weight... too much sugar in sodas. but i do drink a lot of iced tea. there have been a few times in my life when i've overloaded on caffeine and would get this awful itchiness, mostly on my legs, that was like a rash UNDER the skin. at those times i'd switch to decaf tea for a month or so, drinking NO caffiene at all. it had no affect on my moods or on my sleeping. lately, since i'm not drinking any sodas, i get tired of just water and tea, so i've discovered some of those powdered drink mixes you add to your bottled water. they're called VitaSplash, and they are fully loaded with all the vitamins you need in a day. plus, no caffeine, no sugar. VitaSplash... I just went to Walmart, should have looked for it.
Guest LadyC
i didn't find it at the regular walmart today, but i've been buying it at the walmart neighborhood market. there are actually five different varieties, each with several different flavors. they have the "multivitamin" which has 50% of all the vitamins you need, and the tangerine-cherry si pretty good... they have the "immune boost" which has 100% of A,C, and E, and 50% of the rest. the grape is wonderful. then they have "fiber infusion", "joint support" and "calcium enriched" formulas. they're a little on the sweet side, but anything made with splenda is. the grape is fine for me, but the tangerine-cherry one i have to drink a little down and then add more water to make it taste just right. I can tell you one thing, though: Since I gave up soda (I still have coffee and tea) I feel A LOT better, my skin is in better condition, and I don't put on unneccessary weight. Soda is definitely not good for the body...not even the diet stuff (some people say the aspartame in the diet stuff could actually be worse). Guest LadyC
aspartame is bad, or so i hear. so is saccarine. and sugar alcohols. there are all kinds of sweeteners. stevia and sucralose (splenda) are supposedly not harmful in general, although i think different people tolerate different sweeteners.... well, differently.... boy, that's a whole lot of differs! They had two radio hosts who drank coffee to keep themselves awake and alert. They then gave one decaffeinated caffe without them knowing which one had it. After two weeks they checked up on them and they found that caffeine did not have any effect on our alertness levels.

I couldn't do hardly anything. Then after about 3 months of that my throat started swelling. It got bad enough that I had to be rushed to the hospital. They couldn't figure it out........until I went to a specialist. He suggested to much caffeine.........so I quit cold turkey. I went through a couple of days of bad headaches. But after a few months of having no caffeine, I was a new man.............my body didn't hurt anymore and my throat never swelled up again. The least bit of caffeine would make my heart race, so I stopped drinking it and felt tons better overall. Besides, as far as pop goes there is a caffeine-free coke and pepsi that isn't diet, just caffeine free and it doesn't taste any different, so it's not like you're giving up much! I've never had a cup of coffee in my life, all it takes is fifteen minutes and I'm awake naturally...I think that most people could do that but they're psychologically addicted to caffeine

It helped a lot. I never thought that I was ADDICTED to caffine but once I took it away, I got severe headaches. They lasted for about a week and they went away. I actually feel more energetic without the caffine boost. I drink crystla light. In packets, just add to water. I too, add extra water because the flavors are too strong.
