President Carlos Ghosn said Wednesday that the Japanese automaker is studying the possibility of launching a $3,000-class car in the fast-growing Indian auto market. Nissan is exploring the possibility with alliance partner Renault SA and a local partner in India, Ghosn said, but added that the Japanese automaker has no specific date for the envisioned launch, even if it decides to do so. "We are investigating whether it is possible...and whether we can make profit out of it," Ghosn told reporters in Yokohama after the automaker's general shareholders meeting.
