There wasnt exactly a nearby 7-11 handy with a supply of soda pop in Jesus time. They drank what was available and wine was one of the drinks available. Many, many, many scolars have argued whether or not wine at that time was alcohol or not. Does it really matter? I dont think so. What matters is our personal relationship with God. You have many choices of drinks available today. You certainly dont have to drink wine.

I hate to brag, but it is sunny and warm here in Ca. But, I do feel for all of you stuck in the snow... And Wayne, what part of Red hearts all over every store in the U.S. would make you forget Valentines day? Just let us know which hospital to send you a card after you tell your wife you forgot again. And by the way, shall we cut out a card for you in the shape of a tank?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I am sure your husband thinks you are the prettiest woman in the world. I agree with Harley's list. I actually read that book. Another good book I highly recommend is The Five Languages of Love by Dr Gary Chapman. I am wondering about the first one. Sexual Fullfilment. What if he is not interested? Men go through times when they are just too busy or distracted. I have heard that some medical conditions, High Blood Pressure, stress, etc. or medications can effect that. How does that apply? I mean if he's not interested, what's a wife to do? If he is not interested because of medical reasons the only thing that can be done I believe is try and get help from a doctor to lessen his symptoms. He has to work on his own problems with that within. I would say that if he isnt interested because of being too busy or distracted then some serious talks about that need to be done. Men arent the only ones with sexual needs, and women need to be open about their needs in that area also. If he continues to be "too busy" for that, then someday he will just be too busy to pay attention to any needs you have. Those are issues I think need to be taken very seriously and get help for if you cant work it out between the two of you.

When I was reading this post, I thought what could possibly be said about someone requesting a jet. Now I see that alot can be said...lol Maybe I am just naive but, I dont see why someone who has authority over her just says "dont do that again" and leave it at that. I just think this is so trivial to even be news. But, then again, I have been known to be wrong on occasion....

As a woman who has been married for 20 years to the same man I will agree that it is important to know what our spouses need. I think the problem comes in when we think we are responsible for whether or not our spouse is happy. Or we think they are responsible for our happiness. It took me 18 years to realize I am responsible for my happiness. Obviously our spouse contributes to our feelings, but happiness and Love has to come from within first. If we cant Love ourselves and meet our own needs first, how can we expect our spouse to do the same.

Just be happy that your wife doesnt need to be aquited for anything...

The positive and encouraging things I have seen said on here has brought a tear to my eye more than once. I hope that we can continue to have more positive threads like this to encourage and lift eachother up.

What extremely wonderful stories of Love and caring. I can surely see Christ in these acts of kindness.

Either way. I just thought it was a positive thing to look at and talk about..
