In His Love, Suzanne Sure let's look to Eph 5 first. Then we can look at 1 Co 11 and then Col. Sound good? Let look at the immediate context that the word is used in. How does Paul DEFINE the husband's headship? I'll go get the passage. Be back...

What do you think the term "head of" means, if not an implemented role of order that God designates. 1 Cor. 11:3 Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God Eph. 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Col. 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy. (Since you don't believe that the term has to do with authority, what does it mean/instruct?) In His Love, Suzanne You're still not answering my question? What does head of mean? In ANY of the above passages? Please define them for me, instead of asking me a question. In His Love, Suzanne

In His Love, Suzanne the way i look at it is that if one follows the order they (BOTH) will receive blessings and rewards. everyone is going to live their lives. people look at it as a power position and i some times think it's not of God to place those kinds of thoughts into doctrine.
