What is the significatence of the kingdom of heaven, kingdom of God before the gospels and then after the gospels? Mat 3:1 In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, Mat 3:2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. Mat 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

The Kgd of heaven was at hand then in the presence of Jesus - but he had not then been crowned as King of Kings. He atoned for man's sins and returned to heaven to receive the Kingdom from his Father (to be crowned) and to return to set it up on earth at his second coming. As we read in Daniel and Revelation it will be a literal Kgd ruling over all the earth. People who have been transformed from Human to Spirit will be Kings and Priests under Christ to help rule the nations.

But it's full impact will not be felt until He takes rule in Jerusalem. It is a "now and not yet" kind of thing
