It used to be that if you had about 100 Canadian, you would get about 70 American for it right? I am googling to find out what $128 Canadian is in American $, and finding out $128 Canadian is $128.41 American. Is that right? :noidea: The reason I ask is there is something at a Canadian website that I may order, and I am trying to figure out what the American price would be.

When did the rate start being almost exactly the same? :noidea: There used to be quite a big difference. For a year I crossed the Canadian border at least once a month and the difference was much bigger. This was 7 years ago.

Well, the value of the US Dollar has fallen against the major currencies, and people have realized that since Canadian money is so pretty, it should be more valuable.:noidea:

I was hoping this item would be something like $85 American since it is $128 Canadian.

The value of the Dollar has drastically fallen in value over past few months, you have pointed out it has been strong and held stable for quite some time about a year odd ago you could buy

I know I am showing my age, but I can recall when the Canadian dollar was worth more than the American dollar. Now, as has been noted, after thirty years of being worth substantially less than the greenback, there is parity between the two currencies. I don't know how long it will last, but anybody from Canada who vacations in the US or cross-boarder shops, should buy up the greenback before it goes back up, which it will eventually.

lol Mike you know deep down you are ALL CANADIAN!

And EmilyAnne, the Canadian dollar is wonderfully high at the moment. Which is part of the reason why my husband and I went on a little trip to the states to buy all of the baby things we needed. We saved hundreds of dollars!

But I think it will come down again soon....
