To Kill a Mockingbird,

Of Mice and Men, and

The Martian Chronicles will be banned fron Georgia Public School reading lists if some Christian parents have their way...

Perhaps they should read Fahrenheit 451 before proceeding?

Wished they'd explain why those books.

Of Mice and Men I can understand - boy is that Humanism personified!

Don't know what is offensive about To Kill a Mockingbird. Anyone know? :)

Don't know what The Martian Chronicles or Fahrenheit 451 are about.

Homebild - I am wondering, what do you believe about promoting philosophies and doctrines that are contrary to the Cross of Christ?

as i understand it, to kill a mockingbird's rape scene is pretty horrific. i don't know, the movie didn't show much detail.

Ugh - I had to read this book called Manchild in the Promised Land. It's sexual content made me want to throw-up! I can't believe I was forced to read that trash.

All four books are great classics. Besides sometimes a story is just a story. And just FYI Fahrenheit 451 refers to paper catchng on fire at 451 F. Just a little hint to what the book is about. Go read it.
