I am positive that one day the pieces will start to fit together only because I do believe. Our walk with Christ is a walk of growth, as a baby, it is fine to take "baby steps", we are His children are we not? It is not ours to understand His reasons but only to have faith that He knows what He is doing. The same goes with religion why would you try to be like Jesus if you knew that you will never compare? No matter what you do you will never be worthy in the eyes of God to enter into the kingdom of heaven. I understand that Jesus died on the cross for our sin but what if I didn't want him to? What if I rather burn in hell than for someone else to give up their life for me? We have no choice in the matter it's done. We didn't ask for him to do it so Why? Because He loves us. I don't understand. Am I to feel guilty for the rest of my life for something I didn't ask for? Should I feel guilty? Should I feel resentful? I don't know. On the football one they will go on trying because they are believing in faith for the impossible wheter it is possible or not they still are doing it in faith that is will happen. The second example shows a lack of understanding for your jou as a Christian is to be CHRIST-LIKE as you will never become like Jesus was as he was spotless but we should strive to be like Jesus as He is our example to follow. And the last part I will say that we are Worthy as Jesus blood that was shed made us Worthy and we have the gift of eternal life. It doesn't really matter what you think about Jesus coming to this earth to die for tthe sins of mankind but if you ever changed your mind then you would have it. You can burn in hell whether you think Jesus would come and die for you or not if if you didn't want him to as all unbelievers will burn in hell if they do not accept Christ as your Lord and Saviour. No we didn't ask for him to come and die for our sins but he did it because of his great love as God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. So it was God's love If you are feeling guilty then perhaps you should check your life for sin because you shouldn't have a guilty conscious toward God and what he has done for mankind No you shouldn't feel guilty for what God done in sending his Son and again if you have unconfessed sin then you should be feeling guilty before the Lord. And their is no reason for anyone to be resentful because of God sending His on Son to die for the sins of mankind. For that is ludicrus to be made because someone did something good for us. He has become your righteousness...and Jesus considered you worthy enough to give His own blood...so stop the doubting and just accept the free gift of salvation. And don't beat yourself up over failures. He doesn't cover sin...He removes it! He paid for your sins before you trusted Him; why wouldn't that blood be sufficient for sins after you trust in Him? Relax....keep moving towards Him and the rest will take care of itself. He loves you and is patient with us all or no one would stand on the day of Judgement. I'm praying for you! I always beat myself up over failures and mistakes. That is how you learn from them. For instance a few days ago I fell into a gossip mill and because I haven't been around a whole lot of people in the last 10 years I didn't know how to respond. In turn I ended up participating in it and a couple hours later when I realized what I had done I went straight to the person that was being gossiped about and apologized to him for it and didn't tell him who else was involved other than me but I will be talking to the other person involved monday to let her know that it wasn't right. You say he removes sin and I have heard of this before but I don't understand it. If he removed it completly then we wouldn't have to worry about asking for forgiveness ever again.
