(not for fun, but to hide their previous names) Is it deception? Or is is self-preservation against being criticized in the past and someone wants a new start? Is it justifiable? Yes, I think it is deception. Whether it is malicious or not only the Lord knows what's in a person's heart. However, while a person can hide their various identities from the general member, I'm pretty sure moderators can tell who a person is based on their individual 'net addresses. Personally, all the name-changing is a bit tiresome to me. I mean, pick a name and keep it. Nobody has said dumber, more offensive things than I have over the years and I have never changed my name.
