Who will fund the Treasury Department that is going to prop up Fannie and Freddie? I think it will be those people whose taxes are about to go through their own roof? You and I are paying for this, as we are everything else.

Forgive me but if your main residence isn't in jeopardy then you should be ok...I don't agree with bailing out people with "$200,000 +" vacation homes. I don't like to see people homeless....but these people wouldn't be, they would lose their "fun" residence....we shouldn't have to bail them out....sorry

People need to be responsible for their actions. It is not my fault that they signed a contract without reading it. It is not my responsibility to bail out businesses that knew that their clients could not afford the houses they were buying. Take away the multi-million salaries of the officers of these companies and pay off the debt of the companies. This is not a partisan issue, either. Unfortunately, responsible consumership has become partisan, and it's not on the part of those who do believe in personal responsibility.
